From a roto website that cites My Fox Houston but I can't find it there.

Is this legit? That would be huge for us. Wonder when we'll know more info.

I can't find this anywhere at My Fox Houston. If it's BS then go ahead and lock this up.

As an aside, this would be reminiscent of Jameer Nelson returning for the finals on Dwight's Orlando team and pushing Rafer back to the bench.

D-Mo's Microlumbar Discectomy (MLD) Surgery was on 4/9.

Dr. Google tells me recovery & return to heavy work & full sports is 4-6 weeks.

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Houston Rockets guard Pat Beverley is hopeful he will recover from left wrist surgery in time to help the Rockets in the playoffs if they are still alive.

The Rockets announced Beverley would miss the remainder of the 2014-15 (regular) season, but did not address the possibility he could return at some point during the playoffs.

"Very strong possibility," Beverley said in an interview with FOX26 Sports. "Very strong. Let's hope everything goes right.

"I don't care about the pain. I can play through pain. I've been playing through all type of stuff the whole year, so I can play with the pain. I just have to get this cast off. When the cast comes off May 18, May 20th, wrap it up with tape and (I'll) be good to go. I don't care how weak it is. I don't care how strong it is. I don't care about that.

"As soon as this cast is off I'm back to business."

Beverley understands he is asking a lot of his body, and that he is facing an uphill battle.

"Time is not really on my side right now," Beverley said. "Hopefully, the Rockets, we do what we need to do and hopefully I'll be back at the end of the playoffs.

"If this injury happened a month ago or two months ago, then it's something different, but it happened right before the playoffs. So it's just a waiting process.

I get my cast off the 18th or the 20th, after that I'm not going to be that strong, but I will be healed.

"If we do what we need to do hopefully I come back like Willis Reed."

Beverley does not understand the meaning of being told he cannot do something, in this case returning quicker than expected from wrist surgery.

"It's never been," Beverley said. "Never will. Can't rule out a heart of a champion and that's what I have. Doctors can say whatever. I know my body better than anyone.

"I have a gift to heal faster than others."

Beverley, who made an appearance on behalf of Blackhorse Limo at Warehouse Live in downtown Houston on Saturday, had a difficult time watching the Rockets lose Friday night to the San Antonio Spurs at Toyota Center.

"It just hurts that I'm not able to be out there with my guys during the battle," Beverley said. "It's like you having a little brother, a big brother, you see them getting in a fight. You see them losing, and it's nothing you can do physically or mentally to help.

"That 's the worst feeling in the world. I just thank God it's not a career-ending injury."

In fact Beverley said the night before his surgery he went back in the gym to try and dribble with his left hand.

It was then that he understood that he had to undergo surgery.

The fact that he believes he still has hope to return and help the Rockets means the world to Beverley.

"It still pushes me," Beverley said. "You know me I continue to work hard, go in the gym or lift.

"Everything I can do with my right hand I do, work on my legs, get stronger. If my time does come I'll be ready.

"You know me. I push my body to the limit, sacrifice my body for Houston. I'll do whatever it takes to win basketball games, put myself in position to help my team win basketball games, whether it's diving on the floor, taking a charge, I don't care. It's whatever to win a basketball game."

Beverley has tremendous confidence the Rockets will still be alive when he is ready to return.

"The Rockets will be fine," Beverley said. "We've got the MVP. We've got the best big man in the league. Great coaching staff.

"When the big lights are on we're going to rise to the occasion."

Beverley will be a restricted free agent this summer.

While his immediate goal is to return in time to help during the playoffs, Beverley hopes to continue playing for the Rockets.

"My focus is getting healthy and getting back out there," Beverley said. "When I first got the surgery and some people said it was a season-ending injury, of course you're forced to think about that.

"I want to be in Houston. I want to be a part of this whole thing that we've built since me and James first got here, but that's not under my control.

"That's up to my agent and (general manager) Daryl Morey of the Rockets. It's going to be interesting this summer. I'm just happy I put myself in a position where I can play basketball and earn enough money to take care of my family."

And he wants to take care of his family while working for the Rockets in the city he has grown to love.

"The culture, the city is me," Beverley said. "A hard-working blue-collar type of city. I embrace that and they embrace me.

"I will definitely enjoy being here again."

Beverley will enjoy it that much more if he is able to help the Rockets again in 2015.

Meh....... would mean the Rockets were in the West Conference, which means the Rockets would have just beaten the Spurs on Warriors in the second round.... so, not happening.

Terry and Prigs have been embarrassing on the defensive side and not that great offensively either. Bev would at least be an athletic body you can throw at the gauntlet of great PG's in the Western Conference.
