Maury said Bev has amazing healing powers so I believe Bev will back tonight as the starting PG of your Houston Rockets in Game 2
Depends on how easily the Rockets got there. If neither of the first two rounds goes 7 games, then yeah, I'd be more than a little hesitant to return Bev to the starting lineup. I'd definitely give him minutes, but probably as a backup. Say what you will about Terry's deficiencies as a defender, but the Rockets are statistically better with him on the floor from an offensive standpoint. And his record as a starter this season is impressive. Let's be honest. Do the Rockets get off to that red hot start against Dallas in Game 1 if Bev is out there shooting the ball instead of Terry?
Morey on 790 couple days ago said that the doctors most likely wouldn't let him play and that Beverly was a little too optimistic when it came to coming back from the injury
If Bev had to re-cast his hand that means he's at least 2 to 3 weeks away from getting that new cast downgraded or taken off. Even once he gets his cast off, he's still going to have to rehab before he's cleared to play. So no doctor on this earth will clear Beverley to play for at least 3 to 4 weeks. Unless they let him play with a cast which I'm pretty sure the NBA prohibits because of it being dangerous to other players. Maybe we see him in the second round if we are fortunate enough to get there. But I sincerely doubt he's going to show up randomly on the court if the doctors just now put him back in a cast.
Man I would love to have Bev back. He doesn't have to do much to be better than Jason Terry or Prigs.
If he got his cast off very soon, then play him against the Spurs only when when Patty Mills comes on and have him D him up.
