Because I am a patient person and am giving you and the other person badly in need of it some free education.

The evidence keeps piling up. It just did in Tunisia (39), France (1 beheaded) and Kuwait. Not to mention Syria, Iraq, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Pakistan.

And you can keep pretending to ignore the Pew polls, but they are significant evidence that it's NOT just a numerically insignificant fringe that approves of craziness.

The thing is, many Middle Easterners are highly supportive of some of ISIS' goals. Many Middle Easterners are highly unsupportive of some ISIS goals.

We have to determine what is ok and what is not. If we are determining this for an American audience, then you should do this through the lens of what is acceptable to an American audience.

Many Americans people hold bigoted views, and those views are protected by the constitution as long as they don't infringe on other people's freedom. This includes hatred of homosexuals and people of various races and religions. Do we look at the large volume of Muslims murdered by an elected American government directly or through puppet dictators and determine that Americans are highly supportive of murdering Muslims? Is that a fair connection to make. Personally, I don't think so because I don't consider your government to be representative at all. At the same time, you don't think that's the case for various reasons depending on your political views. Certainly, the number of Americans who make that connection are few and far between.

What we're saying here is that a big percentage of a population holding bigoted views similar to the bigoted views of a militia (state or otherwise) which violently acts on similar bigoted views does not mean that those people support that militia. We can say that is creates a bad environment which supports the militia, but that's not different than what happens with any militia, America included.

So what's important then? What's important is what portion of Middle Easterners support violent action against non-soldiers of any nationality/religion/race. That's the question which needs to be answered scientifically.

If that's not the question we focus on, then you will conflate many irrelevant issues. You don't care if people are racists in other country. You don't care if people are homophobic in other countries. You care if they violently act on those things. A great example is that a mindblowing % of Middle Easterners of any affiliation agree that the US should GTFO of the Middle East. That's a valid and legitimate opinion which is only a problem if violence is committed to promote it. None but Hitler himself can with a straight face tell Middle Easterners that they can't hold this opinion lest they share it with ISIS or Al Qaeda lol. The truth is, there are some bad and some good views that a huge majority of Middle Easterners share with those types of groups and that's because it's a unanimous view regardless of how you feel you should solve that. There are Middle Easterners trying to solve this with comedy shows and there are others trying to solve it with guns. One group is wrong and the other is not, and neither you nor any Middle Easterner would accept that the nuclear presence of a foreign military on your soil is not reason for criticism.

Now if you're worried about what Middle Easterners believe in their heads regardless of whether they act on it or not, you are the definition of a fascist and a giant hypocrite. The people who are cementing those views in our societies work for you, and on the other side you claim to be spreading freedom here (hehe). The most failed freedom spreading project in the history of mankind when you look at just how much more dictatorial your puppet countries are vs any sample of countries anywhere else in the world. I bet it's just not in our genes huh.

I digress. If you're wondering what portion of middle easterners support ISIS violence against non-soldiers, the number IMO is less than 5% even in the most conservative populations and that's incredibly low given (comparatively) a quarter of Americans voted G W Bush semi legitimately into the presidency of the united states and are now considering his brother, who is more of the same.

In any discussion of how Middle Easterners feel about political movements, the bottom line is a large percentage here want you guys out immediately because you are pointing nukes at us on a daily basis, a large percentage are willing to go to legitimate war for freedom, a good percentage are in an American style consumerist coma, a small percentage are willing to commit war crimes for freedom and a tiny percentage like me are just pacifists who have given up on warfare or violence being the answer to anything.
