A mentally disabled person is ill equipped to have personal responsibility, that's why they should go into treatment. That prison obviously did not have capabilities to deal with such a person, so he shouldn't have gone there in the first place. That's the prisons fault.

You are very strange to keep talking about tying someone to a bed and shoving a tube down there throat and claiming it's their idea, when you are the only person who has talked about that.

You do realize there are other ways to treat mentally unstable people, right?

He is under the State's supervision and control, therefore it is the State's responsibility.

Fair enough, how do you propose to get him to eat?

By putting him in a facility with counseling, and supervision.

    That makes one eat?

Anyway, I think it's time to move on, we've talked too much about this already. It's a sad story, but not really a big deal, the guy was a burden on society that took his own life. Let's just say it sucks to be crazy and roll on.

You can't possibly be this dense. It's absurd that you think that the only way to help this man was to tie him up and force feed him. Listen, you don't know anything about how to treat mentally ill people, don't pretend that you do.

I haven't heard a legitimate option that gets the crazy man to eat. I've asked 2 or 3 times already and no one had anything that would lead to food going in the guy's face.

It may actually get him to decide to eat instead of forcing him to eat.

Maybe, maybe not. Waiting on him to decide to eat is kind of what they did and he never did. Most people will eventually decide to eat, this guy was just crazy enough not to. He probably should have been institutionalized for the whole of his life, but he wasn't thus he died. Some people aren't meant to live long lives, nature chose not to select this guy to live long enough to pass his genes on and that's probably a good thing.

There are many things that BobbytheNotSoGreat write here that is absolutely ridiculous. Saying that the only options when dealing with a mentally ill person who refuses to eat and has stolen some twinkles is to stuff a tube into their stomach and force feed them or let them die might be his "Greatest" post ever.

Yeah - House Arrest for the mentally ill doesn't make sense. They are likely to buy a automatic gun and then shot up a school or park.

With proper counselors it isn't just about waiting on him to decide to eat. It's about helping to move him into reaching that decision.

You seriously disgust me. This is another human being you're talking about, whether you agree with his actions or not he didn't deserve to die.
I sincerely hope you never have any personal issues that lead to you making any questionable decisions.

He is a classic case of someone who hides behind the keyboard, but wouldn't dare publicize how he really feels. Those are the worst. Just put him on ignore.

Given his posting rate, he probably doesn't interact with anyone on a regular basis other than his mom who slides his dinner under his bedroom door.

You act like this place isn't full of keyboard warriors. Where was your anger when StupidMoniker was saying how he doesn't care whether if people were murdered in groups or individually because it's all the same?

I don't normally read the DND. I'm sorry I don't sift through every thread for something to be upset about. Dumbass.
