About Rolo to Milwaukee it came from a source near the Bucks Gm so it's as reliable as Cyber. But if they lose Aldridge they may do everything to keep the others so they resign him.
Def Portland and Mavs don't look like playoff teams next year but before free agency ends is too early to tell.

Anyway about Afflalo I think the reputation that he has of a good defender is a myth at this point. And the focus imo should be on pgs not on wings for the Rox.
See if Jones can get George Hill for example.

yes but at the same time, he could be a shadow of himself that can't move much and has lost a lot of agillity and athleticism. And we don't know when he will be ready to play at the start of the season. It could be 5 mil of precious cap space wasted. That's why it's a big risk.

Being from Portland, I know a lot about the Blazers. I've heard on the radio that the Spurs are looking to pull off a sign and trade of Splitter, Diaw, and Mills to Portland for LMA. Duncan and Ginobili are probably going to take a pay cut for this to happen.

I posted in another thread about how I think Morey will keep the core around and I forgot to mention one of the reasons why. Morey will keep these guys around so that he can deal for Durant either at the deadline or in a sign and trade during summer of 2016. Ariza/Jones/D-Mo/18th pick selection, etc to OKC for Durant. KD and Harden are very good friends. Houston is certainly an option for him along with remaining in OKC or heading home to DC.

Cyber...do you have any insight in if what these insiders say about Love is true? Is he seriously considering leaving even after his shoulder injury?

I would be absolutely shocked if Wes gets <10 MM/year. I fully expect it to be a 1 year deal which is why teams with cap space will be more than willing to exceed the 5-6 you quoted, especially a desparate team like the Knicks looking for a defensive shot in the arm.

Knicks will pay the max to Monroe (around 15 mil). If they pay 10 mil to Matthews they won't have capspace to add other players, and all this for someone who is a huge questionmark.
Next year all teams will have capspace but not yet.

I don't think Knicks will be looking to gamble on someone Wes's age anyway. They're rebuilding. Probably going to add somebody like Mudiay in the draft. Add a young big man like Monroe in free agency. If anything, they may try to trade away Melo and get young. Not add a 30+ year old guy coming off a major career threatening injury.

Cyberx, do you have any insight on the Draft? Could the Rockets try to trade up?

Lakers the frontrunners in your opinion?

Should we still not be surprised to see LMA in a Rocket jersey?

You have any early predictions? Not necessarily fact but based on the temperature where do you see the big names going?

I see Boston as a better fit for Love, but Lakers will make their push. Hopefully Houston can get some kind of a big piece, but let's not forget last year, losing out on Bosh seemed incredibly deflating at the time, but might have worked better in the long run.

Boston really seems like a good landing spot for Love. (assuming they trade Olynyk ;-)). Boston is in the East, so it is easier to make the playoffs and they have the cap room and flexibility to add pieces. In Boston, Love can be the centerpiece. They have nice "role players", a super coach and aggressive management.

That's crazy to me. It's either one of two things:

    1) He wants to be a star guy in a bigger role --> We're out of the race

    2) He hated Cleveland and didn't mesh with the team --> We have a shot

Not sure if I would want him, but I'm starting to feel like it would be pretty dang smart. Improves our 3 point shooting, floor spacing, rebounding, and playmaking ability. (And our bench scoring with DMo tearing apart backup bigs)

Ariza is INCREDIBLE, but also replaceable. Especially when you have another guy that can handle the load offensively, you can go for more of a specialist with room to improve his offense. KJ McDaniels is an option, or you go for Rondae Hollis-Jefferson or Justin Anderson in the draft.

You can talk about continuity being a key, but a team like Cleveland is in the Finals with the least continuity you can imagine. It's the East, and they have Lebron, but keeping the team in tact is still pretty overrated because of the Spurs great success. Teams like the Clippers are an example of not making improvements and expecting organic growth just isn't enough sometimes.

I'm not Cyber, but I do have an opinion on this. Regardless of whether or not its a desired destination, I think they have to be portrayed as that for leverage.

But I think Love and his people are smart enough to hold out on leaking anything until after the Finals. What a terrible thing to have leak out right now even though its kind of a known thing that he wants or wanted out.

If come this Summer, Cleveland knows he's leaving, and they have a chance to recoup some of what they lost in the Love trade (obviously won't get a Wiggins but...) I think they do it. He's a nice player for them, but in that role, you can get way better value with a Patrick Patterson type & upgrade elsewhere. Plus they need to pay Shumpert, JR, and Thompson. I think getting some assets back for Love isn't a bad idea IF.... and here is the big if...

Love comes out and says you can either send me to X teams (that don't have capspace but have assets to trade) or I'm perfectly fine with walking to the Lakers and leaving you guys high and dry.

I think Kevin Love will be perfectly fine doing anything here. I also don't think he will mind playing out his contract there next year, but the thing they might want to avoid is a mid-season trade where he can't dictate where he's going like he can THIS summer.

KJ McDaniels and Corey Brewer replacing Ariza would be a disaster. Neither of them can shoot. As guys off the bench they have value. As started next to Harden they are terrible. On top of that, Brewer isn't a good defender outside of his ability to steal the ball.

I wonder what McDaniels could be after 2-3 years of development. A couple of offseason, focusing on developing an outside shot and he could be a very good glue guy. Compares pretty evenly to Ariza's year one play.
