After having a grand total of 2 free throw attempts in his first 9 games (268 minutes, 0.3 FTA/36min) this season, he has now had 14 free throw attempts in his last 4 games (110 minutes, 4.6 FTA/36min). That's progress. He's still weak on the defensive boards, though.
PPat played well today, no doubt feeling the heat from Morris' terrific play this year. Nothing like competition to bring out the best in you.
I already posted these two at the game thread but what the heck... Patt's highlights.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgxP9KGzadU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIEALg8n2Xw
Every NBA player is an asset, why do people keep saying this? If it wasn't for all of our assets we wouldn't have been able to get Hardin. Thanks DM for collecting assets.
Patrick played a really good game. Yes, it was against a really lousy team, but he's been steadily improving, thank goodness. Like you guys pointed out, he's finally starting to get to the line. I wish he'd get more boards, but Asik has been like a vacuum cleaner, Parsons is an excellent rebounder, and we have a backcourt that excels at rebounding. That helps balance his weakness in that area, IMO. Who knows... maybe he'll improve there eventually.
That one play with Calderon and Bargnani both guarding air and 2Pat going like "Wait, it can't be this easy. No seriously guys? WTF?" still has me rolling on the floor laughing.
Patterson has been playing pretty well for a few games now. But part of me still feels like his ceiling of being a role player. I think if Jones or DMo develops, likely Patterson will be shooting open jumpshots for a contender after the trade deadline.
