Wow just saw the replay of teddys td pass. What a rocket. Quick release too. Can't believe we missed out.
Props where they are due, Teddy Bridgewater managed the game really well today despite his team losing. He's still nothing to write home about, but he probably would have been very capable in the game manager role in Houston had the Texans wanted him.
I never said I made a mistake. The Texans would still be looking for a QB had they drafted Teddy, but he'd have been a decent stop gap game manager till they found a franchise quality QB. If you remember, I was never really against drafting him in the 2nd round.
Bridgewater has 2 TD passes in four of his past five games. He has a TD pass in nine straight games. His completion percentage is 63.5%. His last 4 games he's throwing over 70%. In 3 of his last 4 games he has a QBRating over 114. His y/a is a solid 7.0 and much higher over his last 3. First 5 games: 71.3 QBRating Last 6 games: 91.8 QBRating
The last four games against good defenses. What has been impressive... despite being considered the most "NFL-ready" at the time of the draft, Bridgewater has made steady improvement. And next year that improvement should continue (seems that QBs typically take three years to really come into their own). MIN has lots of holes to fill, but if they could get a WR1, an impact RB, and/or make improvements in the OL, the Vikes will be able to compete with the tougher teams in NFC North. No wonder Viking fans are so optimistic...
btw, though I am not always a big BR fan, I do enjoy these types of detailed articles. Thanks for posting.

You know there is something in between a stop gap QB and a franchise QB. I can see Bridgewater falling into the Russell Wilson and Matt Ryan category which I considering falling into that category.
we could have had teddy for nothing... but because of his skinny knees, and small hands we let a franchise talent like bridgewater get scooped up for nothing... look at bortles and manziel sucking this year... anybody with a brain could see that in college teddy was the best qb in the draft based on watching college film... smh just like how i know its unpopular to say, but jameis winston is HANDS down the best talent at qb in college football.. he can anticipate throws, play under center, and has the natural arm talent that is rare for a qb prospect probably since andrew luck... i see mariota struggling in the nfl like manziel.. dude cant throws recievers open to save his life
Whats a shame is if he retires right now he will still have to wait five years before going into the Hall Of Fame.
