I don't choose just anyone to compare to MR. TRIPLE DOUBLE BOBBY SURA, but i just came to the comparison after watching JLin these past few games. Not great at one thing but good all around tough PG's. Every night they're triple double threats. Anyone else see the similarities in their games?
Was Bobby Sura an elite creator with great court vision and couldn't spot-up who was asked to camp at the 3 point line all day?
Right now I think Lin stands in a class all by himself. I don't really know how it's possible night in night out to play 30 - 40 mins as the starting PG of an NBA team and contribute as little to the offense as he does.
True Story -- Back in high school, they used to have this thing called the Cuttino Mobley Shootout (later called Clutch City Shootout when Cat moved on) for Houston area high school bball players. Basically, it was an NBA 3 Point Shootout and the semis and finals were held during timeouts of games. I made it 3 years (bragging sorry) and one year I'm shooting my first rack and standing right behind me is fuggin Bob Sura and I hit like my first 3 shots and I hear him say, "Go White Boy Go!" Let's just say I was confused and distracted for the rest of the round.
Bobby Sura could hit the 3 ball with consistency and was a general on the floor, Lin savior couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and is soft. hth
I don't recall Sura ever having a consistent shot, although he was not bad. And I have never seen Lin play soft.
