For me, I put the 2Chainz(es), Chief Keefs, Gucci Mane's, Wacka Flockas, Big Seans, in another category than I would put regular "good" rappers. I consider some of them funny/stupid rap. Most days I'd rather listen to rap that doesn't make me feel stupid but somedays I don't mind a listen to some stupid 2Chainz lyrics. I'll enjoy it and laugh at his lyrics and then back to legit rap. That's how I try not to take rappers like them seriously. Dunno bout y'all.

Kendrick Lamar >>>>> any other rapper these days. My favorite is Kanye cause he's so versatile. I loved Jay of course but I'm getting tired of him. Kendrick is by far the best up and coming rapper there's been since..... well it's been a while since someone like him has come up from the underground.
I've been telling people that this guy is the next gen's juggernaut/hip hop icon joining the likes of Rakim, BDK, Nas, Jay and Em. People who dislike him may have heard him but they aren't listening.
I'm just glad we have another story teller in the game, instead of these "poppy tags", "flossin chains", "f'n b****es", and "gettin skrilla" rappers now a days. It all sounds the same to me, just change the titles a bit. I'm hoping he keeps it up and reaches Pac status, he's definitely got the potential. I heard he was tryna get Janet Jackson on his Poetic Justice music video. That would be beyond dope.
