Just did this song for karaoke a couple nights ago.. Song in itself is classic but Andre's verse....

I strongly disagree.. Hip Hop has always had a short memory/attention span so no matter what time we're currently in, people will rally that it sucks, but 2004-2009 was truly this generations depression period. You guys have to see that Drake, Wiz, Big Sean are light years better than being stuck with Shawty-Lo, Franchize Boyz, D4L, Soulja Boy, etc.

If Drake flooding the mainstream is a problem, then we're in a pretty damn good space. As an avid hip hop fan, trust me. The only hope back in 04-09 was waiting for the already-established-greats (nas, jay, em, etc) to drop projects and cross our fingers that they haven't lost their way. We had little to no up and coming hopefuls. Now we have Kendrick, Joey Badda$$, A$ap, Danny Brown, Big Krit, J.Cole shaping up the future. Hip hop has been on life support and it's not in its rehabilitation phase.

Channel 1 owns every radio station across the country. Aka the entire country has ONE radio playlist. There's plenty of good hip hop.. You just have to turn off the radio and look for it.

Capital Steez who is in Joey Badass crew Pro Era tweeted "The End" hours before he was found dead about a week ago at 17 years old.. RIP, such a sad loss. Survival tactics always gives me the chills when his verse comes on.
