Technically, they haven't broken up.. It's a mixture of creative differences but mainly label BS... A heavy reason they refuse to drop an album is because they don't want Jive to handle anymore Outkast albums but they only have ONE more album until they are free from Jive's restraints. And if you noticed there isn't any Dre 3 Stacks on any Big Boi solo albums. That's because on Big Boi's Sir Lucious album, they were going to sneak that Andre featured song and just slap Outkast under artist title to loophole it as their final outkast album under Jive but they caught on and intercepted that In a nut shell, I've heard both basically sum it up as: Creatively, they are in two places to make an album but the label politics has killed any motivation/inspiration for them to even attempt to make something stick.
Big Boi and Andre had a song that for legal reasons couldn't be on Big's Cd. Chico Dusty is a great album and can't wait for the new cd to drop. Bought his special bundle for like 30 that has a signed poster and t-shirt. Aight so who all is on that Vicious lies and rumors? I don't think it's as good or complete from the 1st to last track as Sir Lucious but it's still a quality album and one of the best this year imo. Plus, it is definitely an album you wanna make sure your headphones or car speakers are on point to handle.
Ahhhh the plot thickens. Any time I've heard or read what I said, it was coming from 3 stacks Agreed. Although it's an awesome album, it hasn't hit me like his first solo effort. I do love the stylistic direction to the entire thing. Almost has an Atlanta Prince feel to it
Haven't been listening to Game since LAX and felt like he was wack as hell for the last few years, but DAMN, his new album Jesus Piece is great. Easily best produced album of the year and no track to skip, reviews are superb. Definitely recommended.
Just picked up Game's Jesus Piece album. I had to give it a shot. I have a few friends whose judgement I completely trust when it comes to rap music and they've all said that the album is outstanding. Can't wait to listen to the whole thing all the way through.
