This was lucky in favor of them. If you don’t have HCA through the playoffs play GS as soon as possible.
The only thing the rockets got lucky with was getting harden in one of the worst trades in nba history, and harden completely exceeding expectations.

Probably the story of the Century. You were given the best player on Offense, couldn't surround him with good enough players, couldn't create a system sharing the ball. What could have been a minor dynasty, all you can do is count your luck going into 1 or 2 Finals if you are lucky. That outlook is depressing. All what is left is "In Morey we trust" slogans. Okay, at least there are few years left.
This year was hardly unlucky. It's been a great year thus far compared to what we all were projecting after being 11-14. Lets just keep riding and hope it goes well in the playoffs .
Luck has nothing to do with it. Rockets do this to themselves every year. Most players are not cut out to ultimately win rings. Rockets are perennially comprised of said players. Dream did it. He’s one of those rare players that can get it done. We will see if Harden and the rest can get it done.
Not luck. I can think of 3-4 bad losses during the season that could have completely changed the seeding. This was just careless.
At this point I'd rather be #4. But I can see a scenario where Portland and OKC lose tomorrow and we face OKC in the 1st round.
This is like their 15th choked game of the year. It’s not unlucky. They just are a mentally weak team that doesn’t know how to close games.
“Worst scenario?” How long have you been watching the Rockets? Certainly this is better than winning 45 games and missing the playoffs every year like we did for approximately 800 seasons straight before Harden came here.
I've prepared myself for the worst possible outcome. I'm an optimist, but the worst stuff always seems to befall the Rockets. I think the Rockets are good enough to get to the WCF, but it's never easy. NEVER.
