No, she isn't good looking. She's smoking hot. But if she's a native of Utah, I don't know how big she'd be into moving here. Who knows? Might be an adventure for her.

In any case, when Utah offers the extension (whenever that is; he has to opt out of next season), and he accepts, it's on to the next free agent for us.

understand that the gm has his targets in mind seasons in advance but it seems super early for this to be relevant

So at the 2 and 3 we would have a starting lineup of Gordon-Gordon?

Rather have Ariza off bench and Brewer gone, we might have to get rid of another big contract. If Parsons got a max Hayward is worth more.
I think we would have to trade Anderson to open up space

Then Morey trades harden to charlotte in a 3 team deal. We get back Ben Gordon & Aaron Gordon.

Harden, Hayward, Gordon, and Anderson is a ton of firepower.

Hayward is very underrated around here being a Jazzhole. Put him next to Harden and he will excel.

Yeah I'm a big Hayward fan. Seems to me he's being forced to be a go-to guy in Utah when he's really better suited to be the #2 guy. I think this would be a good get for us.

Does it make us a title contender? No, probably not, but it's not like any superstars in their prime are lining up to join us.

Besides, Gordon at his max is WAYYYY better than Anderson at $80mm.

I would support the acquisition of Hayward via free agency even if the only thing that it accomplished was making Jazz fans sad.

Cyberx, thanks as always for the post. Can totally see why Morey would want Gordon. Basically a better Parsons. Solid player, teammate and chemistry guy. A secondary playmaker and scorer. Seems like a good fit with Harden.

Utah is going to have to make some decisions. Hill will be a FA. Favors, Heyward are going to have to be paid. They just paid Gobert. And then you have upcoming Hood, Exum, Lyles. This is a "small market" team. In the past they just let go of Millsap and Al Jefferson. So this is a situation to watch.

with that lineup I think we would have to get rid of ryan anderson for a more athletic, defensive, rebounding 4

Not if Wiltjer has anything to do with it. They need to go ahead and get him some kind of playing time. Whether it be in the d-league or with the team, it doesn't matter.

Ryan anderson would have to get moved, and we'd have to pay him at least 28 mil a year honestly probably over 30 with the cap spike

We need to build some sort of continuity with the team. Harden, Gordon, and Anderson are a pretty solid core, and we should look to build on them. I think we need a superstar PG or a superstar SF to pair with Harden and put more pressure on the defense and balance the floor. I think barring the acquisition of another superstar, we're going to be a mediocre team (5-8 seed and extremely unlikely to make it to the WCF) for the next 3 years.
