I figured I'd think ahead and create this thread. Hayward is 6'8 207 lbs 23 yrs old http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/haywago01.html <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/9yZUTa9xovs?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/9yZUTa9xovs?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> Parsons is 6'9 200 lbs 25 yrs old http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/parsoch01.html <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/hmFwtv6bxgs?hl=en_US&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/hmFwtv6bxgs?hl=en_US&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Parsons....he's a key part of a playoff team. I'm always suspicious of guys who put up numbers on non-playoff teams.

I think Parsons is a better glue guy and more clutch so I would pick Parsons.
I have a feeling they will be a lot closer at the end of the season. I'm just not sure around what number that will be.
You can't look totally at numbers as their roles are different (ESPN ranks included). Chandler is better now, but Hayward has a bright(er) future. If I were to sign one of them today: Butler>Hayward>Parsons>Leonard btw, people need to get off Kawhi's d***
Hayward and it really isn't even that close. Better now, younger, and will get better in the future. Parsons is way too overrated here. http://stats-for-the-nba.appspot.com/ratings/2013.html
Given that Hayward didn't reach an extension agreement before October 31, he will become a restricted free agent next summer. The Rockets also have the option of making Parsons a restricted free agent at the same time (vs. picking up his cheap 2014-15 option but making him unrestricted in 2015). It would be interesting to see this happening and who gets more money in the same free agent period under similar circumstances. I suspect that Hayward will earn significantly more. He can create for himself and teammates and draw fouls.
I wonder if Morey would be willing to go after him in this current situation. He would have to take into consideration the effect the swap would have on DH.
Parson will get more money I think. Hes an integral part of this team and he shares the same agent as Dwight. Thats leverage if I ever see one.
He's not going to be a future superstar like so many people are saying, but he is clearly the best of those 4 players.
