Regardless of whether or not this source is legit, this would surprise me not at all. Asik's pouting and unprofessionalism, his lack of offensive game, and the amount of money owed him over the next year and a half make a much tougher player to move than maybe we'd like to admit. I think there are trades that can be made to get rid of him, but probably not very many(if any at all) that cater to Morey's alleged fixation on clearing cap space in advance of the 2015 offseason.

The problem now is can this organization get Asik to accept this situation and actually show up and play for them? Because if we're not gonna trade him for other bench players, we need him providing backup minutes at the center position. It's absurd to pay him the kind of money he's making to not play.
