Dwayne Wade may just be pacing himself for the post-season. Heat can get by the regular season just on talent along. Now, they may not be top seeded if they try that method but they'll get into the playoffs with a top 3 seed simply because the East is weak. Once they're in the playoffs, the Big Three and Allen will pick up their game.
I have to admit, my dislike of this team has had me cynical concerning their ability to achieve anything. But it seems they have a certain strength this year absent in prior ones. The ability to show up against the top teams namely. There is still plenty of time for them to implode, but beating Miami without Melo and seeing others step up makes one wonder if this team very well might be real, despite the drubbing the Rockets gave them. Perhaps this one one game is a sign of Miami's troubles more than the Knicks strength. But my take on them at this point is based on their season as a whole to this point, not merely one game. As for the Miami game, it may be that Wade is in decline, and although he will still post spectacular games, doing it consistently may be behind him.
