Overdue, in my opinion. The Beverley injury REALLY hurt. I would have put him in the starting lineup a game or two ago if he was healthy. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">McHale asked if he may change the starting backcourt: "There are a lot of things we got to do right now. Yeah, that could be one of them."</p>— ClutchFans (@clutchfans) <a href="https://twitter.com/clutchfans/status/666463218601103362">November 17, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> I don't think you can bench Harden, even though I would based on his play. It's a risk, sends a negative message league-wide about a guy who was second in MVP voting last year and frankly, you need him to get going to be any kind of special team.
The impulsive side of me says give Harden's minutes to Thornton til he decides he gives a damn, but you're probably right that he won't do it. :/ ETA: As for the league-wide message, I'm not sure public perception can get any worse right now anyway.
Its funny how badly we needed someone BESIDES harden to create and get some dribble penetration. Now, we get it. And we cannot make it work. Tys not the issue. The system is. With two attack guards we shouldd be killing teams in transition and cutting.
I wouldn't personally, but I definitely would consider long stretches of Lawson-Howard-Ariza together, without Harden, to see what they can do.
bev need to start till he broke down again. another ball dominate PG next to james is not going to work.
Start the crew that finished the game. Terry KJ Brewer Jones Capela I seriously doubt we could start any worse then we have been.
This. But to the Harden point I think the entire starting 5 needs to take a seat in the bench for the next game Brewer included. But hopefully McHale isn't around by then
Bench Harden. Harden gets upset. Harden publicly demands a new coach. We get a new coach. Sounds good to me.
Lawson off the bench wont change anything Dude isnt doing anything with or without Harden on the court
From day one I never thought Harden and Lawson fit together. Neither plays defense consistently. Lawson needs to play the Josh Smith/ J. Lin role and form a bench mob of his own.
