Isola: James Harden doesn’t get love because of strip clubs

    On nba radio this morning frank isola was discussing the harden trade with okc and made the following point:

    -James Harden is one of the greatest offensive players in the history of the sport
    -he will be the mvp
    -presti made a bad trade
    -the media doesn’t fawn over harden like they should because he goes to strip clubs which he thinks is silly because other players have as well
    -reiterated that harden doesn’t get the love that he deserves and that other stars get from the media

    I know, I'm shocked. Isola is one of those NY blow-hards that usually **** on the Rockets. I've gotten so use to the media bias as a Rockets fan good press makes me paranoid lol

    The perception is that while he is skilled, he relies heavily on cheap, gimmicky tactics to gain an advantage. That's the main reason why he doesn't get respect and people are reluctant to give him too much credit. After that, people question his mental toughness -- how strong-willed is he to fight through adversity?

    A championship run would go a long way towards changing minds.

    Man, who cares if someone goes to strip clubs? As long as it’s legal and isn’t hurting anyone, Idc what u do.

    Me personally, I feel it has a lot more to do with the negative stigma attached to him drawing fouls, and the narratives that he plays no defense and flops.

    What’s funny is if I took the time to do it. I could put 1000 names on a single page on this site of players/athletes I have met in topless bars. A lot on my list are high profile/Hall of Fame players, so I don’t get the point of singling out James.

    I agree, It’s the dumbest **** ive ever heard. It’s not the media’s or anyone else’s business what the hell james is doing in his free time. I couldn’t care less if he goes home to wife and kids or if he goes in Strip Clubs. Do what makes you happy. No one cares about the personal lifes of the media people, why should they care about that of an athlete?

    I mean I think it’s interesting that he said it. Clearly it indicates he hears from other media members about how they dislike his personal choices. That’s a little surprising to me

    This comment is racist and ignorant on SO many levels...What Harden does in his personal life shouldn't be brought up by ANY sportswriter. It's the equivalent to saying "People would love Allen Iverson more as a player if he didn't hang around those rappers & stayed faithful to his wife". Frank Isola is WAY out of line for this.
