I think it would discredit anyone that hates on him. His stats, and MVP, and a championship would make him a top 50 player with about 3-4 more seasons of 27ppg play.

If he wins 2 championships and plays 7-8 more years he will end up a top 20ish player which is amazing. There are a lot of great players he would be in a conversation with. He has a TON of work still to do if he wants to try and crack the top 10. That is more like 2 MVP's, 3 championships, top 7-8 scorer all time. He has a chance though.

From the OP, Isola said that it is silly and they shouldn’t do that. You’re essentially saying he is out of line for pointing out that other people in the media are irrational in their dislike of Harden.

I don’t give two shitzus about his going to strip clubs. So many guys go, and I never hear him being an a’hole so he can do him if he’s gonna be cool about it.

Media wanna act like they’re too good for him being a warm blooded male. Well fuuuuuuu*ck them.

if harden was with LA or NY and a team with staring pg Pbev and 2nd highest paid player of Ryno and Ego and a bench with slou, dekker, and harrell would the LA or NY and natl media crucify from not getting the rockets farther than 55 wins and not getting a chip?

    NY is thirsty for anything.

Harden in LA would be a fan favorite but I legitly think he'd be crucified for last year. CF in meltdown mode reminds me of LA's fair weather attitude.

I don't think he'd like the spotlight and would try too hard, esp in his hometown.

They already won three though. During those years they got swept by the j*zz and when he made those airballs, it was Shaq that got all the heat.

Kobe and Phil were lucky and got the benefit of the doubt.

That situation you're describing is like what Lebron is doing now. Bron won't get crap because he's already won it all.

so you sure sure LA wouldn't zero rings if harden was 2nd fiddle to the diesel and coached by the zen master?

The perception of him relying on cheap gimmicky tactics is an insult to Harden's tremendous skill set, hard work and his MVP performance.

He has improved on defense too. Look how well he did in Game 2 against the Wolves, even though he only scored 12 points. He does have to prove himself in the playoffs though. Until he carries the Houston Rockets to an NBA title, he will be criticized. I believe it's not all on him by any means. The rest of the team needs to play better, especially Chris Paul and EG. Clint too needs to play better against more physical players. I do think Harden will need to play better and smarter in round 2 and beyond, if we get there this season. Go Harden! Go Houston Rockets!
