I would love to, but I would hate to take away your job. My track record with being right on basketball topics can speak for itself. I also don't let myself get blinded by feel good stories and high energy players with basement BBIQ.
These 2 Joe Johnson Sucks threads are getting harder to keep up with, so this is the one where the team can't live without Johnson and we win it all because of him? We should label thread Joe Johnson the new X Factor so we can guage the climate beforehand. Other thread is still Joe Johnson Sucks? I'm so confused.
Great coaches always get the most out of the ingredients that was dealt to him. Look at how the Spurs transitioned from one type of system during the Duncan era to another post-Duncan under Popovich's tenure. He really has no set ideology when it comes to coaching; just trying to maximize the winning percentage by whatever means necessary. MDA is the opposite; he has specific kind of rigid philosophy that he wants to implement regardless of who is playing for him, which inevitably leads to forcing a square peg (Joe Johnson) into a round hole (the Rockets system.) This is a hallmark of a mediocre mind.
Joe johnson needs to retire at this point. It is beyond sad watching him now. He's the perfect example of players who don't know when to call it quits.
I dont wish injury on anyone other than Karl Malone but I think an injury is the only way to keep this scrub off the floor since Mike is going to keep playing him no matter how much he sucks. And wow has he sucked. Nothing serious. Just enough to keep him from playing.
I'm all for reclamation projects when it doesn't cost you games, but we've got a large enough sample size at this point to make some conclusions, and it's looking like this guy's washed. I don't blame Mike for seeing what he has, not at all. But this experiment has to end before the playoffs.
I like how green just needed 3 minutes to outscore joe while he played 15 minutes without scoring a point. But those passes tho.....
Earlier someone said 'this is Bickerstaff - Brewer 2.0'... but my gut says that Joe is even worse. Credit to D'Antoni for putting in Green.
I like the lineup with GG and JJ at the same time because Joes can Iso in the post where his strength will pay dividends in the playoffs. When the tempo slows down and Joe is in better shape I'm telling you we are going to love Joe. Did you see that cross court pass to GG in the corner. He is smart and a great passer. His game is not built for our teams tempo in the regular season but when the grind out games come he is going to be big.
Well he is going to have to come up big now. With Chris paul most likely going to have to rest, he is one of our other trusted ball handler.
