MDA is the fault he is using Jo as a wing player opposed to a post player that kicks it to guys like GG. ISO Joe must be used the same way that they use PJ except they need to iso him in the post where he is dangerous not on the perimeter
Yea his shooting isn't great, but to his credit, he did make a nice step back jumper in the 1st qtr and his passing out of the post to open shooters has been good.
I posted this in another thread, but it's worth posting here too. The numbers are trying to tell us a story: In 10 games with the Rockets, 23 minutes per, Joe Johnson has 5.5 points on 37.7 / 28.0 shooting. In 28 games with the Rockets, 21 minutes per, Green has 11.3 points on 39.0 / 37.1 shooting. Johnson ORTG 99, DRTG 111, Box Plus-Minus -4.7. Green ORTG 108, DRTG 108, Box Plus-Minus -2.7. Both guys are not "championship keys", let's be honest, but Green's O-rating is 9 points higher, and his 3 point shooting is 9 points higher. However, his friendship with D'Antoni is 9 points lower. I'm good with D'Antoni continuing to play Joe just to log time (I'd hope he does the same with Wright, if Wright isn't dead). But come playoff time, I guess you just have to take a deep breath and say.... THE NUMBERS ARE CLEAR...
really hoping that johnson has another gear or his play comes back in the postseason... this is just BS that gerald's rotting on the bench...
People to to stop whining. Bunch of babies. Hes the 10th player on the roster and we are a 1 seed People have to always find something to cry about Enjoy the season
That line of thinking is dumb . You should never tolerate in victory what you would not accept in defeat .
It's not even like JJ can't get another chance . There are games coming up that we could rest harden and/or Paul ... Even Gordon . He can play then
The cries for green is laughable. Since the acquisition of JJ we are 10-1(games he actually played). As long we are winning, the coach must be doing something right. D'antoni could improve by actually letting GG play, but playing JJ isn't costing us much.
Here is how this scrub has adjusted to the team in the last 8 games.... 36% from the field. 12.5% from the 3 point line. Yes 12.5%!! That's offensive and downright kills our offense. Keep this guy glued to the bench.
