With the new rules, kick returner goes back to being an afterthought position. You wouldn't think five yards or ten yards or whatever it is would make that much difference, but when they moved it away from where it is now to where it was last year back in the 90's, touchdowns and 40+ yard returns increased something like tenfold.

Effectively, the game-changing kick returner had been sent to the relm of the single wing option quarterback and the dropkicker.

Yea thins change hasn't garnered the attention it deserves. Kickoffs are such a big part of the game emotionally for me. When everything was executed properly it was one exciting play that encompassed the entire field.

Now, anything other than a touchback will be considered a mistake by the kicking team. Kickoffs will now be like taking a free kick in soccer, only the keeper is defending a hockey net.

there was this smart dude around page 33, "pencil him in for the 2013 pro bowl" . I think what that smart and awesome dude meant to say was, pencil him in for the DPOY.

My 3 predictions from this thread:

JJ Watt is a bad ass = Lookin' pretty good

Nick Fairley is a worthless sack of crap = Definitely heading that direction

Cam Newton will be a washout = Not so much

Oh well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad

I love this reaction to the TJ Yates pick:

Nobody could foresee Fat Albert's foot crushing, but man, hilarious hindsight nonetheless.

Normally year old threads being bumped is very annoying, but this one is pretty fun to read.

FYI, the fun starts on page 30.

I have 8 posts in this thread. I'm almost afraid to see what they say....

if you go back to the forum page, there's a"replies" number corresponding to each thread. click on it and it will tell exactly how many times someone has posted. you only have one post in the thread, the above i just quoted. :)

It almost seemed like you were looking in a crystal ball, as spot on as they can get. Kudos! Must spread rep around before giving it to DonnyMost!
