Is it just me or did Carmichael make only 1 solid form tackle in that entire vid? The rest of the time he's just launching himself at the runner's legs...

I agree. This is the guy no one is talking about. He's going to be good. Just was injured last year.

This is my favorite draft so far of the Texans era, I think. I might not say that a few years from now, but we got value coupled with need. Kubiak was put in check, and the defense was finally addressed. I even like the Yates pick.

My day-after sense of the teams that had the top 5 drafts. 1. Buccaneers; 2. Cardinals; 3. Broncos; 4. Lions; 5. Texans. #knowmoreintwoyears

i guess..but it's not like it's unfounded, donkey. they haven't done jack-diddley-damn in free agency since rick smith has been here. what history do we have with him that gives you confidence in his ability to address needs through free agency?

Ragone was a third round pick and TJ is a 5th.

the concept was that we'd flip ragone and/or henson for something of value later. i don't recall how that turned out, honestly...but i don't RECALL being impressed.

EDIT: now i remember, with the help of google ...we ultimately waived ragone. and henson was traded for a 3rd round pick. the henson move wasn't bad.

I liked the Texans draft. I was hoping for an wide receiver drafted but they are still some undrafted wide receivers out there like DeAndre Brown, Darvin Adams, Terrence Toliver, Armon Binns, Tori Gurley, and Ricardo Lockette who have some upside.

I know the Texan front office have given us ZERO reason to believe in them but the Texans are getting very good reviews off their draft. If they truly believe this is the season to make their impact then the only logical next step would be to get themselves a safety and/or corner in FAgency. Have they always done the logical thing in FAgency, no, but Wade's influence is already being felt so I expect a pretty solid name will be brought in like Weddle to play safety and a Wade Phillips' type DT.

Weddle at safety would be awesome. Phillips was his dc at San Diego if I'm not mistaken. Asomogah and Weddle, say hello to playoffs. Plus smith and kubes get to keep their jobs. They should be going all out like there's no next year.

Just turned on my TV and to the ESPN Draft Wrap up Special and on the screen I see McShay talking about the Texans having the best draft out of the AFC South

You can hope we'll open the pocket book for one, but there's no way we're ponying up for both.

Would be excited except it's mcshay, dude thought clausen was the best qb in the draft last year. He often misses the mark on what he says.

I think that was Mel. Pretty sure McShay had Bradford #1.

Got the wrong dude. McShay hated Tebow and Clausen while Mel liked Clausen. Whatever the case, it's too early to call Clausen a bust with the terrible set of receivers they have in Carolina.

I'd like to throw Dane Sanzenbacher out there as another WR we should be looking at. Maybe it's the tOSU homer in me, but he just had "it." Smart, heady player, runs good routes, triangle numbers are solid...really think he should warrant a look.

I don’t know too much about him. Texans need a new kick and punt returner so I don't if he can help in special teams. Kevin Walter is an average starter and you could upgrade that position maybe via free agency. Jacoby Jones can be a free agent depending on the new CBA but I think he will be back. Dickerson has potential and is a good special teams players so he can stick as a 4th or 5th receiver. David Anderson is one of Kubiaks guys but he isn’t very good and doesn’t help on special teams so I think he is gone.

Well, if Rick Smith is to be believed, we have our KR in 5'6" Trindon Holliday...

He did have 3 PR in 2009, but you're right, he's probably not a special teams return guy. I do think he'd be a good gunner off the edges, but if we are indeed looking for a 4/5 WR that can be a factor in the return game, that probably rules Dane out. Still, I think he can be a solid slot WR, especially in this offense; kind of like Kevn Walter before he fell off the face of the earth.

Don't know why it's not embedding...
