Would it have been better had he just reported "Rockets talking to Lakers about possible trades, Lakers want a 1st for Lou", and protected himself by leaving out further details, hours before the trade. And btw: shame on you for adding the word "potential suitor" when he said they were a suitor. That's what ppl do in the D&D
In all honesty Codman was closer. Freebirds: Lou Williams was a former Hawk Team Imploding: Lakers went through a huge losing streak; management changing; tanking initiated Unconventional method: Trading Brewer, trading with a brand new regime, getting help at a position that's not the highest need (i.e. unconventional)
I will help prove Cyberx is legit. I feel bad for doing this. He told someone else, who in turn told me that Worrell was getting replaced and doing home games only. Clutch posted an article on August 17th stating that Worrell is doing home tv, Craig is doing home radio, Craig is doing away tv, and Matt Thomas doing away radio, and home PA. That article can be found here. http://rockets.clutchfans.net/9967/rockets-bill-worrell-retire-craig-ackerman-tv/ I post on a different message board that talks about tv sports media. (dork, I know) Here I am, posting about that on AUGUST 15TH. Two days before Clutch posted that story. http://506sports.com/forum/index.php?topic=19355.msg860847#msg860847 What does that prove? Cyberx is legit. I'm probably sure Clutch knew it too, but couldn't say anything on it quite yet. Sometimes, deals don't happen, and they break down. Doesn't mean that discussion did not happen.
Here is a guy from ESPN who tweets a lot about the LA Sports teams. I can't find anything from him about Lou Williams and a pick except for today. This was after the trade, just 4 hours ago. That's exactly what cyberx said in a single post in the morning...8 hours before that tweet, and he added to it by saying the Rockets were one of the teams talking. Yet people nit-pick his post by saying cyberx didn't say Rockets were going to ask about Lou, so no credit is due, as if Morey would only ask about one of their guards. And here is his earliest tweet on Lou that I could find Three hours before that tweet, cybrex confirmed one team calling about trades was the Rockets. This guy didn't. Is that better than the D&D for ya, @Haymitch
Props to cyberx. However, somebody on ClutchFans nailed this trade. Posted at 6:29pm, a full 12 minutes before the trade news leaked out.
Shame is for losers! And for the record, here's the difference between me and Cyberx: * Cyberx: Has inside connections that he often uses to get information. A true insider. * Topfive: Guesses well sometimes, but usually not. Has two great inside connections, but can't hit either of them up for info. A powerless shell of an insider.
Very nice work, topfive. I think we're both 2 for 2 on predictions made today only mine wasn't nearly as impressive. I think around 3pm today I predicted that I would be super baked before midnight, guess what? I was right. Maybe I have future insider potential here, who knows? I will do my best to give you the facts as they come to dudes attention and all.
If you aren't near a computer, be sure to write the facts down when they come to your attention, Dude. Ya know....for later recall, and all. You can use the back of your check book, if you don't have paper.
Cyberx doesn't go around proposing random trades or saying what he thinks will happen. He passes along the flow. I can respect that. Codman ... on the other hand.
To be fair you missed another vital comparison point Bobbythejpotmacaholic: Guesses poorly and in mass volume with no strike rate and yet maintains he has insider info and wants you to pay a princely sum to get it. Yule C
3 things: - Cyberx had already proven himself in the past he has real connections to agents and yes he called it. - Codman is an insider as well, he called the Ryno & Gordon acquisitions. Codman might have called this one as well, doesn't matter. - Bilal and whomever claim to have called it, are insiders and such, they are not.
