How does the war on drugs lead to murder?

 

Ive never been to Chicago. I would love to visit for the architecture alone. Having never been i would say its a liberal failure in terms of black on black violence.

Liberal failure in terms of a culture of dependence on welfare. Liberal failure in terms of black people refusing to accept responsibility in our problems. Not saying the problems dont have outside influences but all issues in a problem need to be addressed to solve a problem. So that means blacks have to look in the mirror.

What are the protesters protesting for example?

 

Prohibition leads to criminal cartels controlling the prohibited substances. Those criminal cartels then kill, extort, rob, etc. to protect and expand turf, acquire power and influence, etc. Look at alcohol in the 1920s vs. alcohol today. No one is killing each other over stuff you can get at Walmart.

 

So you have evidence all these are drug related. No doubt some are. But there are all kinds.

The gun violence is absolutely related to the war on drugs.

 

Why aren’t blacks in NYC or Los Angeles killing each other at such rates then?

The cycle of poverty is tough. I wonder how many of these kids lost their fathers to jail or violence from the crack epidemic in the 80s and 90s. These illegal drug supercycles are devastating.

 

They aren't the midwest. The violence is unique to the rust belt. There is Baltimore but some of tge worst violence ias in the midwest where the blue collar union jobs are gone.

 

A lot of these are robberies for money

 

Chicago and Detroit are where a lot of blacks fled Him Crow. Particularly from states like Mississippi.

They had jobs at Ford as early as Henry Ford for example.

 

Dwayne Wades cousin was caught in gunfire by some idiot who didn't like another guy from outside the neighborhood with a woman from the neighborhood.

Total stupidity

 

Blacks can't complain about jobs not being created un these areas.

Everyone is susceptible to the global economy. Blue collar jobs have been lost by everyone. We have to teach our young men.

 

I didn't say all of these are drug related. You asked how the war on drugs leads to murder, that was the answer.

 

It’s more than a cycle of poverty though. It’s a cycle of abuse and neglect. There has to be a fundamental cultural revolution within these communities before any true change will occur. Self reliance certainly has to be at the top of those changes that need to occur. IMO Malcolm X’s general message would do a lot of good for people in these communities, but that’s just my outsider opinion.

 

We have had full employment for several years.

 

Most robberies are about money......

But the war on drugs produces this overall picture. I'm not sure how much more evidence people need to see the war on drugs has been a disastrous plan. It was disastrous when we had the war on alcohol (prohibition). How about we have a war on addiction and start treating drug abuse as a health care issue.,

 

And now in the 21st century the US dominates technology, not manufacturing. Perhaps the Midwest should take the personal responsibility to adapt? Ending the disastrous war on drugs would be a fresh start.

 

Good thing we have the tax cuts and private companies are using the tax breaks to train new workers....... oh wait that's not happening.

 

Well sure.... black communities, native American communities, and rural white communities have all been abused and neglected.

That's just naive, that these communities just need a cultural revolution. Go to an Indian Reservation and tell those folks they just need to change their mindset....
