That said, Saudi Arabia is even crazier than Iran, and, government aside, the general population is much more uneducated and dumb than in Iran on average (see: Exiled).

 

Fatwa means his personal opinion ,not mandatory in any sense,and he was clearly misinformed on this topic. That been said. Some want to cut relation with Saudi for Chess issue.

Also just to reiterate, a fatwa means this guy's uneducated opinion. It doesn't mean law in Saudi. The King makes laws in Saudi, not a mufti.

This is more of a law for wahhabists like exiled, not for the saudi population.
