I'm in Jeddah for work these days...where does one meet these types of people?! As an outsider, I can tell there's a cool underground scene here, just haven't really had time to explore much. I did go to an art show last month, which was interesting. And there's a cool new third wave coffee shop on the northern corniche that I really like. Other than that, it's hard to find cool things to do unless you know people. Staying in Hamra on the corniche.
Bad people in one city, good people in another only exist on Disney's junior channel I was there about 3weeks ago , I visited the historical old Jeddah event ,it was ok. I'm an outdoor guy, the most thing I like is going off road and discover remote places like this one https://scth.gov.sa/en/eBook/Documents/p15/MadaenSaleh/mobile/html5forwebkit.html @ Albaiek ,dine out and shopping. Dora al aros is a private nice place . Scuba Diving is a must ,really nothing can come close to Red Sea diving ,if you choose to do it, you find many people with this interest where you can go on a boat to nearby island . When the weather hot and steamy activities flourish in Jeddah for unknown reason but when it's cold and nice people stay home American embassy located on PALESTINE St. has a nice events almost every other week where you need to book in advance .
