Only one NBA PF or C in the entire league averaged more than 36 mpg -- Anthony Davis, and he barely achieved that at 36.1 mpg.

Extrapolating a PFs numbers to 36 mpg is meaningless, since there is only one PF/C playing that many minutes in the entire NBA. Do y'all get it?

You don't play 36 mpg as a PF/C unless you are an all-star. That's the point. So, please stop using 36 mpg numbers, since no one plays that except Davis.

Here's the Top 5 PF/C in MPG last year:

    1. 36.1 -- Anthony Davis (Superstar)
    2. 35.4 -- Chris Bosh (10 time All-Star and ring bearer)
    3. 35.4 -- LaMarcus Aldrigde (4 time All-star)
    4. 35.2 -- Blake Griffin (Superstar)
    5. 34.4 -- Paul Gasol (ex-Superstar, Multiple All Stars, two rings)

Oh, and btw, Donatas Motiejunas is the #61 ppg Player in the NBA at 36 mpg (15.1), who qualify.

Notable PF/C above him, who you might not suspect.

    1. Ibaka
    2. Faried
    3. Valanciunas
    4. Scola
    5. Tyler Zeller
    6. Mirotic
    7. Millsap
    8. Monroe
    9. Kantar
    10. Vucevic
    11. Terrence Jones (both 2014 and 2015)

Dude, DMO played close to 36 mins per game, your argument to stop using per 36 is ridiculous. It's not like DMO averaged 17 minutes.

And you don't understand why per 36 is used. It's so that you'd have a somewhat close enough way to compare players. It's not perfect, but it's something.

28 mpg is not close to 36 mpg.

Only one PF/C in the NBA clocked 36 mpg, so the stat is meaningless.

I'm sorry you don't understand that very basic math logic.

And besides, I showed you all the 36 mpg numbers from non-All Star type players. And there are a dozen better than Motie's PPG numbers. Including Jones, twice.

The stat is meaningless. Stop using it.

36 is a wrong number. People use it then compare those numbers to Stars, and the Stars numbers are below 36 mpg too, so you need to increase theirs, too. Do you not get that.

28,7 is closer to 29 than 28. Teach me more math

29 mpg is not close to 36 mpg. Is that better?

They won't stop using it. They will always try to find a way to put one over the other even though they both produce at pretty much the same rate.

Not picking sides on either but TRUTH is DMO has never started over a (healthy) jones, but all of a sudden he's wayyyyyy better than Jones and a star. He had a good run I will say, but board has gone overboard hope we don't jinkx dmo

29 is not close to 36, like you claim. Is that better?

Motiejunas and Jones ares average in both real MPG and per 36. The stats are listed plainly above. Sorry you don't get it.

    But I'll repeat

Notable PF/C above DMo on PPG per 36 minutes, who you might not suspect.

    1. Ibaka
    2. Faried
    3. Valanciunas
    4. Scola
    5. Tyler Zeller
    6. Mirotic
    7. Millsap
    8. Monroe
    9. Kantar
    10. Vucevic
    11. Terrence Jones (both 2014 and 2015)

Outside of Ibaka they all are below average defenders. I have no point saying that just like you had no point posting these names. DMO is not a volume shooter, he has different role, you want him to make points with magic?

I guess you don't know who Faried is.

And I guess you would prefer I don't post the rebounds per 36 minutes for all the PF/Cs in the NBA. I'm sure DMo will be outside of the Top 30.

The only time you will get logic out of that guy is when you ask him why an open layup is better then a 3 on the fast break, but outside of that he's pretty useless :p

Seriously the whole Dmo love and Jones hate is completely out of control on this site, can't wait for the season to start to level people again.

DMo is 73rd in the league at rebounds per 36 minutes, for those who qualify.
