The Orlando Magic have replaced the New York Knicks as the top team on Chris Paul's list of preferred destinations, according to league sources.

Paul believes the Magic, with Dwight Howard, would be a better fit for him. Also, Paul realizes the Magic have more to offer New Orleans in a trade and therefore views it as a more realistic landing spot.

New York, Portland and Dallas are still all on Paul's short list.

The Magic cannot offer New Orleans anything close to what the Rockets can offer.

I'd chose Magic too, Magic>knicks, Howard>amare, van gundy>dantoni, florida winter>new york winter, and so on.

    Orlando can offer:
Gortat, Bass, Nelson, Pietrus, Ryan Anderson, Redick, Duhon, Qrich.....

Damn, talking about having the best assets, Magic is No.1 in the league.

Good point. And they'd be much more willing to give up those assets than the rockets are to give up their's.

    Howard
    Lewis
    Carter
    Paul

..............finally, 4 max players on one team......

    lol

Seriously, Magic still could not win if they don't fire their coach SVG. The guy is a worse coach than JVG.

You don't want that kind kind of reputation as a team. Why would a big name FA want to sign with a team like that?

Bass is a capable PF,who isn't getting a chance in Orlando. Ryan Anderson is a decent spacing 4, Gortat is overpaid, but he can fit in as a backup center. Pietrus is an athletic defender,JJ has become a respectable SG.

Oh give me a break, they can send him wherever they want. He doesn't want to play for them under a CONTRACT, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out imo.

It always matters because he either has a no trade clause, or he can tank it for a team he didn't want to play for. Players are real spoiled these days.

A team with Paul and Dwight would be pretty scary. If Paul could get Chandler like 5 dunks a game, think what he could do with Dwight and more 3 point threats.
