That is fine with me because Starship is (or was) a great band. They are better than 60% of what is out there now and when they were Jefferson Airplane, they were 75% better than what is out there now.
I think I should say this now. If you like or have ever liked "Breakfast At Tiffany's" by Deep Blue Something, you are nothing short of a dork.
The late eighties to early nineties was not a good time for music though I liked Color Me Bad, besides the silly name.
I liked most of their songs. I also liked Living Colour, who many say are one of the worst groups of all time.
Most of these songs were at or near the top of the charts when they came out. Wouldn't you think the 50 worst songs of all time are songs that hardly anyone has ever heard (because they suck)?
Where is Patrick Swayse's "She's Like the Wind" or "You Light Up My Life" by Debbie Boone. Where the theme from the Greatest American Hero or Hill Street Blues? Where is the theme from Chariots of Fire???
I liked the theme from Hill Street Blues. Pat Grey was talking about this list this morning and played "You Light Up My Life".
That's it. I'm cancelling my subscription to "Blender"!!! Wait a minute, I get it for free... OK, I'm going to stop reading the magazine, and use it as toilet paper instead!
