Very good episode. It is a bit slow-paced- but probably will build as the season goes, so I've heard. And as I posted in the other thread, there are 3 things you need to properly watch Better Call Saul:
You can watch BCS first- but if you have the time, do watch Breaking Bad- it's one of the best shows ever made. What happens is that Better Call Saul tells the early story of Saul- when he's just become a lawyer and before he morphs into Saul. But it does also go very slightly into what happens to him post-BB- as a person-in-hiding, the manager of a Cinnabon in Nebraska. Plus, BCS sprinkles in quite a number of references to BB, so probably watch that first. But you can still watch BCS and enjoy it for what it is.
I hope that's free range organic Coca Cola. Anyway watched it last night. Was good, of course. Don't think I'll be watching that Talking Saul show afterwards. There only show I would need something like that for is Game of Thrones since there's so many characters, storylines, and back story that I don't know about.
Not to derail, but look in the spoiler for some unrelated GOT stuff... Spoiler A year or two ago I went down a GOT web rabbit hole looking at maps, reading back stories on the houses and territories etc... That, combined with rewatching a few episodes here and there made everything infinitely clearer and easier to follow. Especially all of the intrigue and mystery of Essos. If something like this interests you, I'd suggest looking at maps and Googling all the different territories. See where it takes you. Still amazes me how GOT has grabbed my interest. My wife still doesn't believe I actually watch a show with "magic and dragons" That said, the Better Call Saul Season 2 premier was aces as usual.
Really liked the premiere. I paused it and told my wife that the stock broker was the same guy who got his car blown up in BB, then came to this thread to confirm. Pretty impressed with myself that I picked up on that. I actually really like the slow pace. I think it adds to the realism and is one of my favorite things about BB. If you want fast paced with something happening every second of every episode, go watch 24. I loved 24 too
