Like the first three picks, Cliett (hopefully he can make that transition to S) and pulling for Hilliard

A couple of places I've looked, people have been really high on days 1 and 2, and really, really down on what they did today. That having been said, I like the idea of drafting specialists in the late rounds, and everybody they got seems like they can fill a specific niche, so while I'm not totally in love, I think they got guys with very specific skill sets/roles. The only guy that doesn't make sense to me is Hilliard. He seems redundant with Blue. They have been talking about getting a scat back for a couple of years, but they have only gone after big, chunky guys to run the ball. The other day 3 guys seem like they don'tthe really overlap skill sets with other players on the roster. Day 2, imo, was as good a 2nd day as any team had. Both guys have 1st round level talent.
Now it's time to see if this regime can develop our picks. Sure, the draft is exciting, but I'm more interested in how the 2014 class looks this year than how the 2015 class looks. No team can afford to botch the opportunity to pick 1st in each round. Hopefully the 2014 class really turns it up a notch this year. I'm hoping XSF, Pagan, and Prosch all take huge leaps forward. Guess we'll see soon.
No one really knows how good a draft a team has until years later... development, roles, injuries and luck play a large part in it all. I remember the Browns having several drafts being praised a few years ago and they got very little out of them. I have been very critical of the Texans mediocre organization, but I like their draft overall. They were somewhat safe but also took potential starters and good depth.
The Texan's drafts always seem kind of "nondescript" if that is the right term. Never seems like they excite the fan base with their picks. However, this year I really, really like the McKinney pick. I think he is going to be a star.
Agreed, I really like the McKinney pick, however I'm kicking myself that they were one pick away from Lockett. Hope Strong works out.
What's the return date for Clowney? Is he returning during preseason or mid-season? That's the guy I'm still most interested in, praying desperately that he somehow meets the hype.
Well, so we hit everything but TE. I forgot to remove S from the list after the recent signings. Gotta wonder what the plan is for our current TEs, who gets top billing, etc.
Considering we drafted 2 WRs and signed Cecil Shorts, maybe we're going to more heavy WR sets? Or we're confident in the TE's we have.
it's too early to tell, they'll probably say they want him back by camp, but more realistically they are probably targeting week one or week 2 of the season for his return. Anything before that is a fairly amazing recovery.
