1.texans should have drafted dez instead of kareem, i dont understand why the texans are so obsessed with kevin walter when they could have had a 3 headed monster of jones, johnson, bryant

2.cowboys are winning superbowl this year and miles is better than dre.,miles is younger and deadly after the catch..wow..amazing

3.the reason i say boys are wnning superbowl is my superstition

    (a) a kardashian sister dated Reggie Bush for 2 years,Saints miracously win super bowl
    (b) the other sister marries Odom,Lakers win back to back titles while he got married
    (c) the same sister that dated Bush, dumped him and is dating Miles Austin now...see where Im going with this? You date a Dash sister and your team WINS

Johnson, Jones, Bryant isn't even as good as Johnson, Jones, Daniels.

    Oh ok

There is a poll on ESPN's nfl section on who's the better wide receiver

    Ander Johnson 85%

    Miles Austin 15%

Statistically, he was a better receiver last year. But he did kinda catch people by surprise.

Let's see if he can do it every year, like Andre has done.

My favorite stat to quote, NFL Career Passer Rating Leaders

Rank Player (age), + - HOFer, Bold - Active Rate Years Teams
    1. Aaron Rodgers (26) 97.2 2005-2009 gnb
    2. Steve Young+ 96.8 1985-1999 2TM
    3. Philip Rivers (28) 95.8 2004-2009 sdg
    4. Tony Romo (29) 95.6 2004-2009 dal
    5. Peyton Manning (33) 95.2 1998-2009 clt
    6. Kurt Warner (38) 93.7 1998-2009 3TM
    7. Tom Brady (32) 93.3 2000-2009 nwe
    8. Joe Montana+ 92.3 1979-1994 2TM
    9. Drew Brees (30) 91.9 2001-2009 2TM
    10. Ben Roethlisberger (27) 91.7 2004-2009 pit
    11. Matt Schaub (28) 91.3 2004-2009 2TM
    12. Chad Pennington (33) 90.1 2000-2009 2TM
    13. Carson Palmer (30) 87.9 2004-2009 cin
    14. Daunte Culpepper (32) 87.8 1999-2009 4TM
    15. Jeff Garcia (39) 87.5 1999-2009 5TM

ALL but 2 of them are active or played last year. Half the list is 30 and under. Its these kinds of measures that will give people the argument that Romo is one of the best QBs ever. Though then you must say Aaron Rodgers is the best QB ever. Did it "feel" like Matt Schaub had one of the best years EVER in NFL HISTORY last year? Really? What does it say about positions and they way things are played now?

Starting to sense that good schemes and good discipline to them is just as good as having a good talent.

I think this is Ric's argument against elite receivers. That it takes real SKILL to be a good defensive back, and you can get away with a Kevin Walter or Miles Austin more than an average DB. Its to Andre's credit that he's done it over a SUSTAINED period though...

    1. Because Walter is a very solid WR, that can block, run routes and great hands. Not as explosive as either AJ or Jones but to win games you really don't need a three headed monster at WR. Otherwise Arizonia or Green Bay or New England would have won the last few Super bowls given how deep they were at the WR position.

    2. Miles is very good, but don't get that confused with being better then Andre Johnson. He has to put up a few good seasons being a team's number one option before he can claim that.

    3. It is people like you that are the reason those idiots are making tons of money and polluting the television screens around the country.

This is what journalism has devolved into it appears, ludicrous observations in order to incite wrath and therefore page views.

Miles Austin? He had a huge day against the Chiefs, who suck major balls.

Germane Crowell called, he wants his fluke season back.

you've missed the point. Its not idiotic to rank the Cowboys over the Texans in pre-season. But it is r****ded to think that Miles is better than AJ.

wtf? I like Miles, but best in Texas...please...he's been a starter for 1 fn season...

If Dallas had AJ, he's been a super star by virtue of all the pub the Cowboys get...Hell I'd trade Roy and Mile for AJ all day everyday...

Right. This is the typical Cowboys' BS you always hear at the start of training camp. No one (here in Dallas) wants to explain how a team that finally won a playoff game after 14 years is supposed to be a lock for the Super Bowl but maybe I'm being too harsh by injecting reality into the conversation.

Cowboy fans have made every summer of dreams in their recent mediocre lives one of hope, trying to hang their hat on that ONE draft choice or one hit player that will magically, and instantly put them over the top. And even though the Texans have yet to make the playoffs they have been improving the last four years and are poised to do so soon. The Cowboys have had a playoff team for years, stocked it with all kinds of people that JJ thinks will be the tonic (and sell bobble head dolls) and, though they were in the playoffs, when it came time to deliver, basically stunk it up year after year. Get your heads out of the past SB clouds and your pitiful dreams hung on the likes of Miles Austin and face the fact that Jerry Jones is an egotistical psychopath that somehow thinks HE can be bigger than the team and yet they can win in spite of him. At least the Texans had the good sense to send their idiot Charlie Casserly packing.
Oh that's right. Little Jerry is the owner AND GM. Boy, sucks to be you.
