lol Tyler.. It's plain as day as to what we're talking about. It's so nice to see people like yourself man. <dapz>
It's really frustrating to see Rox lose a game like that. It maked you think if JVG is the right one. In fact, if you look at the games we have played so far, you can tell we could have won some of those games if JVG makde smart moves.
My 2 cents, Hated the game last night. The team miss it's last 9 shots before Yao's. What happened? I guess the Hawks defense was so good it took Yao out of the game plan. T-Mac missed 3 shots. So he tried to take over but missed. That's life. I just wished the guards would do better job of dishing the ball to Yao. Especially last night when it looks like he can't miss. Now was it the coach's fault? No. The game plan was good but the players didn't make wild open shots. Want to kill somebody, take it out on the real guilty party. That's right, the players. Yao is excluded since he was doing his part and making his shots. He also rebounded well.
You mean like the ones when we went down to the wire against the Twolves and Lakers without our best player? Bad van Gundy. Bad.
Didn't Minny lose to the Nuggets, and Spurs get blown out by Seattle? **** happens. I think Atlanta beat the Spurs once last year. Southwest division crown, here we come.
Nos. 4-7: The darned good ones Popovich, Jerry Sloan, Jeff Van Gundy and Don Nelson. While Popovich is the only one with title bling, all but Nelson have coached in the Finals, and Nellie made the de facto Finals two years ago against San Antonio. Their records show it, with each consistently adding two or three wins beyond expectation to his team's total. Nelly got a +37 for his work in Milwaukee two decades ago, but his best work has been with his current group in Dallas -- he's +36 in just seven seasons. Sloan's first three years with the Bulls were a wash, but in Utah he's +47 over his 16 seasons. Popovich has only coached one team but has put up positive numbers in six of the past seven seasons. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...Q--?slug=cnnsi-whosontop&prov=cnnsi&type=lgns 4-7, not 8-10. Being in the same class as Pops, Sloan and Nelson aint too shabby.
Is it just me or is it just about every single person that is doing their best elementary attempt at belittling Jeff Van Gundy gifted in the spelling and grammar department?
OK, screw my kids' college fund... make that $59.28... Let's Get It Done...? What does Marvin Gay's number one hit have to do with this???
Phil Jackson is not going to come into a situation in which he actually has to do a lot of work. He's going to come in only when we're very, very close to being championship caliber. And I think we can all agree this team is not close to being championship caliber. And Yao/Tmac does not equate into a Shaq/Kobe or even a poor man's Shaq/Kobe - at least right now. If PJ ever comes to this team, it's going to be 2-3 seasons down the road.
OK LEMME SET THIS WHOLE THING STAIGHT!!!!!!!! If u are going to say that JVG took the rockets to the playoffs for the first time is 5 years then u shud also remember that we were ONE GAME OUT THE YEAR BEFORE and when Rudy wasnt there WE HAD A ****IN ASSISTANT COACH THERE!!!!!!!! so JVG comes in and improves us by a few wins that would have happened if RUDY STAYED!!!!!!!! JVG is dumb to let francis leave like that SAY ALL U WANT BOUT HOW GREAT TMAC WAS but FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS STEVE WAS THE DAMN HEART OF THE TEAM no one showed the emotion on the court as he did!!!! how he got on his player and gave him his signiture high fives and hugs and his alley oops....I DESPICE ALL OF YALL WHO DONT LIKE STEVE CAT AND CATO THEY ARE GREAT PLAYERS AND WILL BE GREAT AT ORLANDO!!!!!!!!!!!!**** JVG FOR BREAKING UP THE BEST THING HE EVER HAD!!!!!
They lost those games, it doesn't matter if it went down to the wire or a blowout. There's no reason to talk hypothetically and say they would of won those games with Tracy, because you could of said the exact same thing after the Hawks game. Nuggets>>>Hawks. Sonics 7-1. I don't get why it's not ok for fans to vent a little bit, we did lose to the Hawks, lost in the worst way you could possibly lose as well by getting destroyed in the quarter that matters the most in basketball. Maybe there's just too many extremes and not many that take the middle ground, either you think the Rockets are done or you pretend a loss isn't that big of a deal and the Rockets are on their way to winning the South West Division despite their poor play. To me the Rockets have a lot of work to do, 4-5 overall and 1-3 against the LEast isn't that big of a hole but it's a hole I didn't expect this team to be in. Nobody did.
