Harden would probably already have a 30/20 game if he just didn't waste possessions passing to Brewer
D'Antoni will run Harden to the ground by game 60. For as great as Harden's individual offensive stat is to start this season ... the Rockets are only 5-4 with wins mostly against poor competition (one Spurs victory aside). Fools gold?
How and the hell can he be ranked 8th in the league right now? He is putting up averages that no one has ever put up before. NO ONE http://www.basketball-reference.com...r_g&c3comp=gt&c3val=13&c6mult=1.0&order_by=ws
Forget 30/8/13. Try 24/5/12. Only Harden. http://www.basketball-reference.com...r_g&c3comp=gt&c3val=12&c6mult=1.0&order_by=ws
And he's beating Oscar Robertson on those criteria ... a guy who was playing >44 mpg when the NBA played at a much faster pace, too. A lot of it was YMCA ball, running back and forth -- when the league was largely just for entertainment for many of the franchises.
You have to be a complete moron not to see Hardens impact. Unlike Last season where his numbers were somewhat deciving, this season the guy is having actual impacts on games. I know you are a lin fan who hates Harden, but even Lin fans should know better this season.
Aside from the move to PG, it's the shooting that will drive everything. I've said the last two of seasons Hardens sold job should be working on his threes. Already a real solid 3 point shooter when you get to that elite 40%+ level well that gets you MVP level as a great offensive player already. He's been at over 60% ts before... but now he's doing it with somewhat less free throws. He's just shooting insane. And if that continues, the scoring and assists will easily follow suit.
Harden has improved his shooting % by a lot from almost everywhere on the court, but particularly at the rim (0-3 feet) and mid to long 2's (3-16 feet)
Random Stat This year only 11% of Harden's shots are assisted (23% for career) and only 25% of his 3 pointers are assisted (61% for career).
