Wasn't Nash MVP when he went like 16-12 or something the first time? So under the same system harden may match the assists with 2x the points....
Worst assist game thru 17 games: 7 assists (and only 28 points) Worst assist game thru 17 games last year: 2 (James only averaged 6.6 apg thru 17 last year (in other words, his worst is still better than his amazing average stats he was putting up last year) Also, Harden has led both teams in rebounding 4 times so far this year... as a point guard.
Did he have his triple double taken away against the Kings? Looking at box scores, and it only shows 9 rebounds now.
James Harden is 18-18 from the free throw line against the Celtics. No player has made that many free throws without a miss against the Celtics in a game since the NBA-ABA merger.
Chris Paul has been the beacon for racking up assists for a decade. He's only had 7 games where he got more assists than Harden averages this year.
I believe this is the 3rd, if not 4th game this season where Harden was a single rebound away from a triple double. With the media sensation this season with that accomplishment, it's a shame games like tonight are completely overlooked.
