Exactly, Kobe can sit and watch while Bynum and Gasol own Bosh and whoever the Heat center is, then Kobe can take over the last few minutes

And that was the year KG went down, so its a stretch to really call that Cavs team the best in the East...

LeBron shot 0.447, not 48%. Is this how you make him look great? You want to know why Kobe can come up with wins even if he struggled on offense side?

He shut down Rondo and worn down RA. Cavs didn't have an answer for Rondo and LeBron couldn't do anything about it.

Plus, Kobe actually could make teammates around him better, while LeBron the ballhog made every player a role player.

WTF? Duncan has never experienced a bad time with the Spurs (although largely because of him). Since he got drafted the Spurs were the winningest franchise of all American sports team. Yeah, think he'll cry?

And Kobe didn't stick with the Lakers either. He wanted to bail until they got Gasol. That's just revisionist history on your part.

I remember these arguments being used for one Tracy McGrady...

And I disagree with the notion that Lebron is definitively better than Dwayne Wade. Lebron has NEVER reached the level of dominance that Wade has reached in the playoffs. Kobe has never been that dominant. Wade's ring was the most impressive act of sheer will since Mike.

He got most FTA/g in NBA finals by a big margin. Yep, that's truly dominating.

LBJ couldn't do anything about it because he was guarding Pierce. Remember him? Kobe can focus on Rondo because Odom and Artest wore Pierce to a nub.

LOL at Kobe making his team better. Wasn't he the one who just stood alone in a corner when Fisher rallied the troops together? Quit making Kobe into something he's not. As Kobe himself said, "I don't do stuff like that".

wade admitted it himself last year. in his words and i summarize, "the MVP is there for lebron if he wants it every year. no one else can take it from him..."

and tracy mcgrady is nowhere close to lebron. i always though tracy was a great player performer. lebron has been 3x as good.

but you're right. that ONE playoff series v. the mavs was the one act of a single player absolutely dominating another team by himself for a 4-game period was ridiculous. i don't think anyone has done that since jordan or dream v. orlando.

LOL, Kobe actually was the one doing screen for Fisher. And Celtics rather gave up a mid-range open shot to Fisher than switch, shear fear of the best closer.

LBJ could wear Pierce down like Kobe did to RA. How many IDs here predicted RA would kill Fisher and how it didn't happen? All of a sudden Fisher's was such a good defender. LOL.

    1) lebron was still more efficient that kobe offensively. so moot point. but thanks for clarifying that it's still better than kobe's despite kobe having pau drawing a few doubles here and there.

    2) kobe guarded rondo? are you serious? he gave rondo a ton of space and dared rondo to shoot jumpsots b/c he knew gasol and the lakers' bigs can contest rondo's penetration. he didn't break a sweat guarding rondo. please, you can bring up the replay. JVG criticized kobe many times for leaving rondo wide open. rondo just sucks at shooting. when he tried to drive and beat kobe, he got blocked by gasol many many times.

    3) lebron guarded pierce. and clearly you remembered how pierce did. (13.5ppgs on 35% shooting). he started rondo bits and pieces b/c again mo will sucked.

seriously, did you even watch the games?

and i liked how you said, "kobe came up with wins" lol.

No it's not. Cavs have been a contender ever since Lebron also...Timmy was at a point in his career where he could have left for 'Greener pastures' he didn't.

Kobe didn't leave either, his team wasn't making moves and the owner actually indicated that they were content...and Kobe wasn't have any of that **** and forced the teams hand. Kobe DID stick with the Lakers, why are you saying he didn't? Just because he demanded help? Nearly every superstar player does that.

That's why I mentioned Garnett, his team became content with where they were at...and at that point it's perfectly fine for a player to leave the team.

Sure, and MVP is for regular season. Kobe has a bigger fish to fry.

he struggled then. that's why nobody brought his finals performance into the equation.

since then, he's been ridiculously out of this world in the playoffs, on both ends of the court.

The fact is KB24 does it alone ... he is the Lakers, he is the man and Gasol is his side-kick. Lebron needs to play with Dwade and Bosh to have a 'chance', to win a ring ... remember Miami is Wade's house, he will still be the man!

That's why I think Lebron made a mistake ... he will be remembered as the King that needed other 'Kings' to win a ring. Kobe did it twice without Shaq and IMO that's more impressive!

Dont know what youre talking about. KG was still a Twolve in 07...

Cavs had an easy road to the finals. They were the easiest opponent for the Spurs in the playoffs that year.

lebron is 25. multiple championships are in his destiny.

expect another MVP next year. and most likely a championship if they fill out the roster with 2 more decent players.

Wait a minute. Do you remember Lebrons road to the finals? A pretty easy one. They beat the wizards first round after Caron and Gilbert had season ending injuries, then faced the New Jersey nets and had homecourt adv., the one decent team they faced was Detroit. Then they got swept in the finals.
