True but he also had his moments like in game 6 against phoenix, Kobe is still the best closer in basketball and because of the cast plus Bynum and Gasol they would beat the Heat

Why don't you answer his question first genius? Kobe has had Shaq and Gasol/Odom beside him. Lebron has old Shaq and antwan Jamison.

Come on, Pippen was a much better player than Gasol, and Pippen was best perimeter defender in that era. The guy was one of the best 50 players for a reason.

Pippen actually led a team to 2nd round, Gasol couldn't even win one game.

My point is it's a weak ass argument that LeBron got to the finals without another all-star when he played in the minor leagues compared to the what the West was when Kobe was struggling. Does this anger you?

the lakers would beat the heat right now if the heat team stands pat. it's not b/c of kobe. it's b/c of gasol and bynum (the same reason why the lakers won the championship) and their size/rebounding/interior defense.

nobody is denying kobe is still a top 3 player.

Dude had Smush Parker, Brian Cook, Devan George, and KWAH-MAY Brown. Fisher was gone at that point too, if I recall correctly.

That's pretty godawful. Seriously. Kobe had a pretty crappy team and I dunno how that's even remotely deniable.

Kobe never let his team lost to an underdog. LeBron did it twice in a row.

Kobe is selfish, but at least he is selfish in the aspect of looking good while winning. Lebron is just selfish to make himself a celebrity and global icon. I hate Kobe as much as the rest of you but I personally want to see the Lakers beat the s*** outta the Heat this year.

It's stupid because he doesn't realize how awful his argument is. All you've shown is one player can't win it all. Good job.

Bynum averaged 5 point in last 2 playoff run and you are making him an all star. Well, what can you say about TMac revisionist fans?

How many championships do the Heat need to win for Dwyane Wade to be considered better than Bryant? Than Jordan?

Since James is playing Pippen's role that means Wade is playing Jordan's and each should get the same amount of credit the old pair got, right?

kobe played v. the suns without amare stoudamire and had a 3-1 lead. and he missed the playoffs the first year.

and we will see how the cavs do next year sans lebron. i think then we can all see what type of impact lebron had on that supporting cast. was it truly a great supporting cast that helped lebron get those 60+ wins, or was it 80% lebron james?

The initial response is...A LOT of people have GAINED respect for Kobe AND Durant.

For all the guys like that...and Timmy too...who were drafted by a team(excluding Kobe as he was a Hornet...) and considered that team theirs. Who stuck through the bad times of their team.

Garnett had a point that you shouldn't be always so loyal to a team...but his team didn't do squat to improve. Cavs did everything they could to make sure LeBron was happy, that must really hurt for them.

If what Gilbert says is true and Lebron did quit on his team, he will never win a title and will actually hold Wade and Bosh back. Either way, the Heat are the new bad guys in town.

Oh please. That Cavs team got to be the worst team to make it to the finals ever. The whole eastern conference was a joke. Heck I'll even say that the Lakers(7th seed I believe) were better than the Cavs that year.

LeBron's record against 50 wins team, 1W5L. That at best translates to 1 2nd round appearance in 7 years in west.

    Enough said.

kobe averaged 23 points on 40% shooting in te first round v. thunder. they won.

lebron got destroyed for putting up 29, 7, 7 on 48% shooting v. a tough celtics team (whom kobe put up 28, 8, and 3 on 40% shooting).

kobe did play superb/superstar level in the middle 2 rounds (he was at his best then).

but for 2 rounds, kobe wasn't superstar-ish for the most part and the lakers still won those series. ask yourself why?

Lebron is the kind of guy that will quit with "scrubs" on the team...when he feels like he's doing it alone...so he wont quit on bosh/wade...still sucks to know that he can't go down swinging in those situations

Durant will be leading the Thunder to the promised land like a true superstar should.

Hopefully the Rockets can get a guy that can do that too (Maybe if Yao wasn't so hurt all the time).
