Randolph is younger than both PP and Hill...

However Randolph has shown the skills capable of playing at the 3 as well as the 4 and 5... which could give us a bench of ..
    Bench:
    PG:Lowry
    SG:Bud
    SF:Randolph
    PF:pat / Hayes
    C:Hill / Miller

This has been said before, but it must be repeated, nothing like an attractive woman discussing sports.

Who did we get when we traded Battier or Ariza?

Jeffries + Hill + their picks back for SnT Tracy McGradyz get 'r dones.

Looking at their assets, it's probably an array of 2nd round picks.

I assuming a trade would look something like..

    NY receives:
    Jeffries
    Battier
    Taylor
    Harris/Johnson(non-guaranteed)
    2012 NY picks(return pick)

    Hou receives:
    Randolph
    Curry

I can't see that trade happening. I doubt the Rockets include Battier in a deal that doesn't bring a superstar player in return. And no way would Morey give their 2012 pick back when he is doing them a favor by making this deal.

that is WAAAAAAAAAY too much to give up for essentially Randolph

NY is the one who wants Jeffries and Dump Curry if anything they should be sending out picks not Houston if they are serious about salary dumping. This scenario above would not put Houston under the tax either and effectively strips them of all their assets of trying to trade for an "impact/star" player at the deadline.

I would prefer a shane/jeffries only trade and having curry + future picks (2nd rounders) in return & no lotto protection on the swap and 2012 pick w/ the understanding that shane would be bought out and re-sign with houston

How come no one is entertaining the idea of a 3-team trade? One man's garbage is another man's draft pick.

And Jeffries is actually a decent player. I don't know why so many people are hating on him.

The Knicks are very stupid. You can actually steal all of their 1st round draft picks and they don't have a clue what's happening lol.

Read post #29. I said a 3 team trade is more plausible than a straight Hou-NY trade. Curry's contract would be tough to match without adding people the Rockets would probably not want to add, unless NY's assets were REALLY good.

I would give the rights to swap picks with Knicks in 2011 BACK to get Anthony Randolph (which is also an expiring contract)...$3mil and some change closer to being away from luxury tax...Don't know if that's possible. ?

The Knicks will likely counter with a Sabrett's hot dog stand.

Perhaps talking about Eddy Curry and "dangling" isn't the best choice of words:

Allegations from a sexual harassment suit:

Back to topic: I wonder what assets the Knicks are dangling.

I think some of ya'll are seriously underrated JJ. He was the only one on our team who could guard Danny Granger in one game...He's just paid too much. I can see why they want him back, now that they made their shot at Lebron...

You are right but for the wrong reasons.

The rule is regarding consecutive first round picks in your next 2 future seasons. The 2010 season doesn't matter.

However, since we have their pick in 2012, they can only swap in 2011, not trade away.
