yeah, but he missed 7 games, and since his return he’s been quiet aside from that GS game while Curry is having these crazy performances

his ppg is dropping, his efficiency and shooting percentages are dropping, and his PER is no longer above 30

I just think he needs to start putting up some dominant performances soon to stave off the Curry hype

I know media actively forgot the Saturday GSW game existed the minute it ended two weeks ago, but ESPN and it's anchors have already put the recent Celtics/GSW game as the FIRST Saturday matchup wiping out the Rockets/GSW matchup COMPLETELY.

    They literally forgot.

Curry has missed double that amount of games. Harden is averaging 31/9/5, Curry is averaging 28/6/5. I agree that Harden needs to pick up the efficiency a bit and maybe add an elite offensive performance somewhere soon, but as of now there is zero argument for Curry winning other than blatant disregard for the entirety of the season, which, I would certainly not be surprised to see happen when it comes to the media.

Having said that...Curry will receive hype regardless. Harden won't "stave off" anything when it comes to him.

    Did you expect anything else?

trust me, I think there is no way in hell that Curry should win it over Harden, but the media will spin the narrative however they see fit...I would not be surprised at all either

    Curry is trending up

    January stats: 31, 5, and 7...72% TS

Harden since returning from injury: 23, 4, and 9...54% TS

Harden needs to get back to that 32, 5, and 9 form soon because his edge over the other candidates is slipping...Lord help us if the Cavs somehow go on a nice winning streak

I mean, Yeah, Kind of! Rockets were the first game of the Saturday showdowns. It was a really good back and forth game. It was an undeniable display between the 2 best teams in the west with the whole country (even antenna viewers) watching.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised because we have seen it before when it comes to the Rockets, but I'm surprised by how apathetic everyone is about this game..

Trust me...I totally agree with you, but this is just how it works. James Harden is simply not the media darling others are. He’s not the draw that others are. He will never be propped up the way others are. It is what it is.

Most games missed by an MVP is 24, Walton ('78). Second most is 11, IIRC.

Everyone on NBA Radio said Harden is the favorite.

Will be interesting to see what the talking heads say tomorrow.

Harden 60 point triple double on 30 shots. Several Injured teammates. Team needed every single point.

    Meanwhile...
Westbrook- 13 points on 18 shots. Lose to the Wall-less Wizards.
Lebron- 21 points on 20 shots. Lose to Detroit. A team that blew up their roster 24 hours ago.
Curry- 14 points on 13 shots. 30 point loss to the Jazz. On a healthy team with...oh yeah 3 other all stars.

Oh...oh, dear...don't be naive, my friend. The media will do its thing.

MVP not even a topic of discussion. It’s either Hardens unanimous year or they don’t want harden to win it. If they give it to Kyrie I swear I’m gonna punch some media members
