Green is definitely looking every part of a super star. I’m hearing crickets about people mocking Green as a potential bust, they are being very quiet.

Nice, you should have just added a disclaimer that your opinion should be disregarded

That explains a lot. Green has been doing advanced level moves that neither Beal or Lavine did their rookie year. Probably should watch him and understand why people are so excited about him.

Exactly. Some of these folks are rating him but aren't watching.

There was a point where he was really bad and I admitted I'd rather have Mobley. But I also have always been consistent on that I saw something in him. At this point, I'd take Green #1 in a re-draft easily. This guy is getting better at everything rapidly. I predict he is a top 10 player by the end of 23-24.

All good - appreciate the honesty! It's a long season and most people(myself included) don't have time to watch 80+ games. I try to watch a game/maybe two in it's entirety weekly, but I generally am too busy to invest more time than that. For what its worth - NBA.com's box scores all have video available for free normally the day after the game so for instance if you wanted to watch all of Green's shots from this weekend's Portland game you can watch all 17 of them by clicking on the 17 in box score in the FGA column here. It's not a substitute for watching games, but it's generally how I keep tabs on players I am tracking without investing 2+ hours in a game. I can watch all of Sengun's assists, KPJ's turnovers, Green's blocks, and all their shot attempts in 5 minutes. I'm finding it useful since we are in rebuilding mode and I don't have a huge appetite for watching us lose 50+ games.

I think Harden has more empty calories in his body than Green has in his stats. :D

If Green pans out to be a super star its going to be awesome to finally have a face of a franchise who will universally be exiting to watch.

James Harden - 2nd best player in Rocket history by a wide margin... Also probably one of the least fun superstar guards to watch actually play in history.

Chowd hates Harden and used to berate him about every single petty thing, but dick rides Green hard.

What can i say dude? Just wasn't that fun to watch except when he decided to go down hill and use his shiftiness. His step back after step back mixed in with some head snap backs with his drives just made for a boring game. There is a reason why non Rocket fans disproportionally don't like Harden compared to other superstars. Now the odds of Green ever touching Harden's level are slim but at the very least we know he's going to to be absolutely electrifying to watch,

As I said before the draft, you don't draft Ralph Sampson over Michael Jordan.

That's a GM killer. Ya get Ralph Sampson in the next draft (which is this summer)

But you do pick Ralph Sampson over Rodney McCray or Byron Scott, which is what happened in real life

I have nothing against Harden. But Harden is not very popular outside of his fanbase. Green on the other hand, seems to be an all around likeable guy.

    That draft had slim pickens

I would still go Olajuwon over MJ....just my preference. But Olajuwon is another
    animal. Even MJ feared Olajuwon.
