Hill's trade value floored since last year, I don't think it can get any lower at this point and management must know how tough of a sell he is, which means we have him there out of need, which means Thabeet sucks so bad he can't even beat the worst starting center in the league.

What happens is Thabust will stay on the bench the entire season because he isn't worth a plugged nickel.

    Get over it people.

Then it is a failure by the Rockets organization.

Either play him a bunch and hope he gets better, or if he sucks you still win because you get a higher draft pick.

    Dalembert is NOT the answer.

DD, Thabust is not going to get better. He won't even be in the NBA next season. He's a #15 player at best.

Dalembert is a one-year stopgap because Jordan Hill obviously can't do the job and they can't have Thabust in the rotation. Next summer something will happen. If it weren't for Stern, the Rockets would have a powerful front line.

Thabeet is a nice expiring contract that we can throw in to the Dwight trade at the deadline.

Ok so why sign Dalembert? The team is going

    N
    O
    W
    H
    E
    R
    E

Why waste the money play Thabeet, see if he develops, if (as you and other suspect and I am leaning towards) he does not...then you get a great draft pick.

If he DOES develop (unlikely) you get a hidden gem.

Because with Dalembert, the team is not any better, it was a waste of $7 million bucks.

They may win a game or two more, but not worth the effort, just a waste of time to fool the fans into buying tickets......

We signed Dally to give us options. There was the chance that he would make us substantially better. That would probably be the case if we had last year's Chuck Hayes along with Dally. But we don't.

Dally's contract is tradeable. It's essentially an expiring contract. Combine his contract with Thabeet's and we could take on a pretty large salary if we wanted to.

    DD,
Do you really think that if the Rockets felt they could get anything, I mean anything, out of Thabeet that they wouldn't be playing him???? C'mon man. The writing is on the wall with him. He can't play. They already know it. You need to accept it.

I think they know his confidence is shot, and once they give up entirely on the season they will give him a go to see.

If Shawn bradley can have a career in the NBA, so can Thabeast.
Maybe he's to good for this team and we're trying to tank right??
Mchales an idiot plain n simple. When you got a player who can block and alter shots in the paint you play him!! In any Damm league you play him!!

Shawn Bradley played 11 years in the NBA and in his best year he averaged 14.6 points and 8.7 boards .

I HIGHLY doubt Thabeet would even come close to any of these stats.

We traded Ish and Battier for him and we still aren't even using him...

Thabeet got ThaCurse, now he is Thabust.

But seriously 3 years in the NBA and he still uses his palm for hook shots. I don't doubt his talent but I seriously doubt his work ethic if, so far, 3 coaches aren't able to make anything out of him.

That or Thabeet is just a really really dumb basketball player. It's one of them.

    Screw Thabeet. Sign Greg Smith.

(I wouldn't mind seeing some Thabeet)
