No you're wrong. DMos contract is a great trade chip. Doesn't mean you have to trade him, can't just cut him, etc. It does mean if a max FA is available that you want you have flexibility. why cut him in that scenario when you can trade him and get something back. Because team you're trading him to values hat contract too. So you can get back a draft pick for example. It also doesn't mean it's only useful for a max FA. You might be able to help another team get cap space to make a FA move and in return get back a decent player, or decent player and draft pick by trading DMo to a team that trades back equal salary in a player then cuts DMo to create cap space for themselves. Or someone may just really like DMo and his contract and give you back something better. The idea that DMos contract is a very valuable chip says nothing about whether you like DMo or not, how to build championship teams (max guys vs role players, etc.). It's just is what it is.
Oh ok I thought you meant you wanted to trade DMo. You're right DMo is indeed a great trade chip, I just can think of a realistic scenario where trading him benefits the Rox more than keeping him around unless somebody really fffs up and gives Morey a ridiculous package for him. Maybe Dm should give Sac a call after 3 months and ask them if they'll give Cousins up for DMo and Anderson lol.
@daywalker02 D-Mo could possibly get more points than I previously guesstimated. "If" D-Mo shoots more 3's than his 3 point attempts the previous 4 yrs (He has never shot more than 1.9 attempts per game). This team has greater spacing with better shooters making them more efficient. So D-Mo could get 11-13 pts a game on less minutes than 14/15 season. Hopefully w/3-4 attempts/gm (from 3) & maintain 37% or better. IMO.
I thought it might be trolling, but the fact the Rockets haventade his signing official makes me wonder.
nonsense. why use an old DMo appreciation thread when you can have an all-new, all-improved DMo appreciation thread?
