LOL Carlise is a disgrace to Jim Carrey

    btw remember the Rondo fiasco?
Vogel perfectly incorporated Rondo and Rondo has won the championship for him , i am intrigued to see what Vogel would be able to do with the mavs....

He won't find it easy in Houston. I suggest you should try and offer your services instead of him. I think you will find it easy.
    No sarcasm intended.

Lol at undisputed arguing this as the greatest comeback ever and at least top 2 with cars comeback in finals.

Let's just forget the Rockets are called Clutch City for a reason.
Even our comeback against the Clippers was a bigger comeback lol

I saw a writer make a good point (or at least I THINK it's a good point)....if you're going to ask for a second star to step in, what would you have them do given Luka's usage rate?

I think it's entirely possible (50/50) that Luka ends up leaving Dallas.

I think it's tough for guys like Luka and Harden to accept lowering their usage rates. They will fight it unless there is someone at their level on the team. Porzingis isn't nearly at the level that will make Luka give up the ball willingly and without resentment that would affect his overall effort.

Mavs are smart and that would never happen. Not sure what kind of obscurity Porzingis would fall into as a Rocket as he is often injured. Maybe a Harden for Luka swap might of given Cuban intrigue when that option was available.

Sounds similar to the Harden-Dwight conflict. A ball dominant star guard and a former star center who thinks he deserves more in the offense but he actually doesn't have it.

If the Mavs are smart, they should get rid of Porzi asap before the cancer gets out of hand.

He's missed 40% of his regular season games so far in his career. No reason to think that number won't continue to go down as his career progresses. He's getting older, and the league is getting faster and more athletic. 7'3 spindly dudes are not built for the modern NBA.

I remember Dwight Howard being frustrated with Harden and his lack of post touches.

Porzingis better figure out his role playing next to Doncic. He certainly can be more impactful. His points per post are horrific, so there is zero reason for his usage to increase and make the Mavs offense less efficient. Play defense, become a better 3 point shooter, become a big pick and roll threat, and be ready to run the bench unit when Doncic isn't playing. Become a better passer from top of the key to run some motion sets with you in the high post.

I lurked on the Mavs forum after clipper elimination. There was some chatter about this even before the playoffs it seems. Sounded like an open secret.

Luka is not selfish in that he doesn't pass, just doesn't pass to Porzingis as often as the other guys. In their 5 out offense, he does seem like an after thought. KP is not a lob threat per se, him and Luka also don't run that much pick n rolls.
KP stands at the 3pt line which defenders still respect, gives Luka the space to drive.

KP complains now but doesn't sound like he did it as loud as Dwight, or did anything to sabotage the team. In post interviews, he not subtlely talked about sacrificing, doing what the coach orders, and for the good of team.

But he does sound like he want to move on. In an ultimatum, Mavs know who to keep, but if Luka's high usage rate was the issue, why didn't they mix it up more.

Luka like his numbers. There was a Mavs post, I saw about how in Dirk's last year he had a chance to pass some all time record in a game, people on the Mavs knew this, instead Luka feeding Dirk, Luka only drove to get his. Competitive guys are competitive with his teammates too.

Particularly at 22 years old...when you get a bit older, you may become more willing to defer. Difficult at 22.

The man created 77 points total. That's better than the best PG can ever muster most the time.
