Clippers showing real heart making this a game. Could have easily been over with Mavs leading by 16 late third and entering the 4th. Now only a 4 point game! If Mavs don't make the corner 3 off of doncics pass they are going to lose.
I mean half of the Mavs are missing wide open practice shots. Clips get credit for taking advantage, but they have more talent than the Mavs and should be blowing them out right now.
True. It's just I don't usually associate grit, heart, etc with the clippers and they've shown it twice in three games. First coming back from down 20 in game 3 and now 16 late in game 5. More importantly while I'm rooting for the Mavs, Im rooting even more for a nail biter.
Game over. Clippers are not crafty in the paint. They have lost the ball multiple times in the paint this game alone. At least 7 times in the 2nd half that I can count. At least 3 times in the 4th.
Yes, but I'd argue Carlisle made the same mistake. Mavs offense grinds to a halt without Luka. I know he tired with lots of usage, but if just slightly adjust rotation and keep in Luka either time, the lead in game 3 would have been more and killed the Clips heart. Even here in the 4th. Looks like Mavs are finally making some 3's to maybe close this out.
