Inform me. Is the three point line further distance? I agree....everyone needs to be 3-pt shooters. A lineup of KPj / Green / E Gordon / Tari / Jabari will bring the desired effect. Spacing galore.... efficiency galore.....clear passing lanes....clear driving lanes. Everyone's FG%, TS%, eFG% going up. I'm rooting for Sengun. His improvement from 3 can be a key to mass improvement for others. One hand washing the back of others....not just pandering or catering to Senguns game while others sacrifice.
I have no issues calling out the flaws of players....KPj as well. What's so special about Poole other than he has talented players around him. Tim Hardaway Jr and Dinwiddie could do the same on that team. All Stars with high I.Q. in Curry, Klay and Dray? Who are the Curry, Klay and Dray on the Rockets last season. I missed their play.
Really We are literally talking about Poole 13.9 FGA's to Porters 13.2 with Poole making 6.2 and Porter making 5.5 FG's......wow. Amazing separation!!! Less than a FG made difference between the two. Poole also had the luxury of moving screens and not facing the opponents top wing defender like KPj did. How about KPj having a greater Ast%, Reb%, 3P%, TRB, DRB, ORB, Blocks, Set, Stls.TRB%, ORB%, DRB%. Clearly I'm dealing with the short bus occupants this late at night.
Imagine if GSW asked KPJ to come in and just get buckets! With all the attention going to Steph and Klay.. sheesh!!
Exactly. Same thing I worry about with KPj signing with Mavs/Doncic. Doncic demands 3-4 defenders keying on him. Allowed Brunson to prosper as he flew under the radar. KPj stats next to Doncic would be like Brunson's stats on steroids.
Yeah, 3.8 rounds up to 4. Regular season average 4.0. Only in your crazy head does 4.0 (or 3.8) round down to 3. My bubble is this site, where I've been posting for ~25 years. You may have not been alive when I started here. You've been here for 5. Eric Gordon's been on the team longer than you've been posting to this board. Have some respect for the 99ers.
It's an approximation dip wad...I posted off of memory Can you approximate Porter 6.2 assists being greater anyway you want to twist or spin it? In your upside down world less or worse is better
https://theathletic.com/3619474/2022/09/23/rockets-training-camp-guide/ 2. Porter opens the season without a new deal and bets on himself. I know both sides have expressed optimism about getting a new contract done before the season, but I just don’t see something materializing. The Rockets want to preserve as much cap space as they can heading into next summer, and a new deal for Porter would eat into that. Tate recently signed an extension, but it was a team-friendly contract, and his role on the team is significantly different from Porter’s. If Porter’s end to the 2021-22 season is any indication of his potential, I have a hard time seeing him agree to a contract that would pay him anywhere from $7 million to $9 million a year, especially given his age, trajectory and what some of his peers are making. I think Porter lets the season play out and hopes either the Rockets give a lucrative offer or another team presents an offer sheet.
That's how I see it J.R. Rockets team friendly deal like Tates around $9M Porter reps probably pushing for $20+ M I am around the happy median of $15 M to $18 M If people look at the free agents next summer by position, it's mostly all trash. ____________ Like you said "if" Porter produces like he did at seasons end with Wood removed the equation and Tate hitting 38% from 3 then he did right to bet on himself. Locked on Rockets talked about plain vanilla offense last year and how Silas says he will add greater layers which will maximize the players talents. Don't skip the intro but it stresses hard on the point at 10:53 mark I mainly expect Rockets to position themselves for disgruntled star vs free agent(s).
Meh... last time our team made personnel decisions based on limited sample sizes, we ended up Jeremy Lin and Kelvin Cato. I will rather we wait longer and potentially pay a lot more than to pay more right now.
Not an all star though, the point was we signed him to a max deal NOT knowing if he had earned it, and it worked out. We also signed Ariza to a deal too big for him and traded him asap - our org has a history of taking risks on players some work out some don't. DD
