Its a pretty ridiculous number when you really think about it.

6.8 3 point attempts per game * 7.6% = ~ 0.5 open 3s attempted per game or 1 out of every ~13.5 attempts or 1 every 2 games played. We all watched the games. That’s not what happened.

Garuba better play, after playing for his Euro team this off season.
Never playing for the Rockets is a way of getting axed.

Sengun also better not get fatigued after playing this summer.
Mr. "Always" better hit his 3's all season. Not just the 1st
    twenty games.

Shame Sengun fans have to bet against Sengun hitting 3's in order to
have Green, Porter, JC look bad.

Fact is, Tate is looking good hitting 3's this off-season and hit 38% after the
    All Star Break......if both Tate and Sengun can both shoot about 36% from 3;
Green, Porter, and Christopher will be slicing and dicing the opposition
    entire games.

And yeah that means, efficiency will be good.

I'd be okay with him as a 6th man. To me he's Jamal Crawford

    Ok Donald ..... fake news.

The proof is there for all to see, all you have to do is compare the NBA.com stats to what that idiot posts.

It is really hard to be wrong on so many levels. Let's start with the most fun one.

So, you say Sengun has a higher fg% because he was assisted more. Since you have not told me how to get the @rim stats, I am going to work with the layups. Sengun was assisted on 43.6% of his layups, compared to Jokic 52.2%, and Embiid 53.3%. These mvp candidates are frauds, they were actually making easy baskets with those assists. But there is no fooling Apache! For a non mvp center comparison, Ayton was assisted on 66.9% of his layups.

Now, let's have a look at total field goals assisted. Sengun was assisted on 49.8% of his fgm, compared to Jokic 62.3%, Embiid 54.1% and Ayton 81.2%. Sengun is actually one of the least assisted centers. It is very easy to tell if you watch the games and see how he works his way to the basket but that is not your style.

what % of KPJ's 3 pts were assisted? 51.6%!! He was making those easy assisted shots, while you were trying to make us believe that he was making tough shots over the best defender.

of course assisted so easy basket is wrong just as well making assists implies good playmaking or courtvision. I am sure you have an explanation why when kpj is assisted, it is not an easy basket. This rule is only valid for others.

Sengun is playing with the 2nd team. Remember KPJ suffering from playing with scrubs? Well Sengun is playing with replacements of those scrubs!! Can you imagine how hard it is to score with replacement of scrubs.? And since Sengun is the main scoring and passing threat in the second unit, he gets the most attention from the defenses.

    So what is your argument?

    - Post up plays are not effective enough so we should use even less effective plays?
    - KPJ should be awarded more points because he is not assisted as much, which by the way is not correct?
    - Alperen Sengun can't play point guard?

These numbers don't add up. If Porter had 164fga's and hit at 64% then he made 164*.646=106 of them. if he was assisted on 48 of them, he was assisted on 48/106=45.3% of them.

He's had episodes with coaches at each step along the way. Can't just wish that away. That's called a pattern. Now can he break the pattern? Time will tell.

Obviously you extend him now to a cheap number so when the new tv deals come into play and the cap rises he will be locked into a team friendly contract . His agent is probably not allowing this to happen. Kpj should sign for 13m a year

    Sengun
    https://www.basketball-reference.com/players//s/sengual01/shooting/2022/

    Go to basketball-reference.com
    1) enter player
    2) scroll down to bottom where it shows game logs, splits, shooting
    3) tab on shooting
    4) displays a split on shot distance and split on shot type as well.

No drugs, just don't read every line of those who don''t love the entire game.
    They just love one player.

Did he do it to 3 different coaches consecutively? Horry threw a towel. A freaking towel. At Danny Ainge no less who has shown he can be a prick. He probably deserved it. Horry said he wished it had been a brick so obviously there was an issue.

Irrelevant comparisons aside, the bigger question, how does throwing $hit at coaches equate to competitive fire?

    C'mon man.

Dude, the guy was under 21, and had attitude issues, for sure. The point is he is UBER talented, and you get him some therapy, and HOPE he works it out as he matures.

He has had one minor issue in Houston in roughly 3 years - seems to me that is major progress......

We have had SO MANY guys with issues work out well for us.....Mad Max, Artest to name a couple.....I have no problem giving KPJ some time to mature and if it doesn't happen so what? Haven't wasted anything.

Have you ever lead a team, or a group of people at work, on a team anything? Because if most of you had I would bet you would understand that some star players can be trouble and need a bit more patience......and as long as they are productive you work with them, it is when they become counter productive you cut them loose, he is very productive, his teamates love him, he sacrificed for the team by moving to PG.......and he blew up at the end of the year with Green both around 30ppg....I wanna see that grow.....

Hope they either get the extension done soon or announce he's going to play out the contract.

Two weeks can't come soon enough.

They aren't doing an extension - come on......that would have been done by now.........

This thread is NOT about an extension - anymore - it is people that hold grudges over what kids do, vs. those of us who want to give them a chance to develop.

We are a tanking team we need to give EVERYONE with talent enough room to grow or to prove they don't belong....including KPJ.

Now your bringing up the workplace. How many bosses do you know that would keep an employee who pulled that kinda stuff? Even once.

    He is talented.

They need to get the deal done.

But acting like he hasn't been a problem every where he's been is just not true. I hope he has changed his ways for the better. Can't wait to see it.

If I didn't think he deserved another chance I would not be in favor of an extension.

People act like KPJ can’t improve on and off the court. It’s crazy bc he just turned 22 a few months ago. It’s obvious that he’s starting to mature, but some of you fail to realize that. Good thing is that the coaching staff and executives see that, so it doesn’t matter what you trolls say. Excited about him getting extended soon or after the season.

How many bosses? ME - I would do it......if he was young and was frustrated, and I was the reason he blew up.....there are always 2 sides to these things.

I have owned companies for more than 25 years and have seen some huge maturation from people including myself in how to better manage folks....you don't toss out talented players if they are not disrupting the team.

In Cleveland they moved him to a ****ING CLOSET....don't you think that might piss you off?

I mean......come on....they wanted him gone......and now....ironically as he is blossoming they need a SF that can play like him....oh well.

Teams are complex dynamics, each person on the team has a different button, a good manager/owner learns how to motivate each, same with a coach.....a good coach knows that you can't treat them all the same.....if you want to get the most out of each one....

It’s not that people think he can’t improve, it’s just trying to make good decisions for the organization. Kpj has not done anything on the court yet to warrant making above his cap hold, and some people want to see him actually play well for more then 9 games out of his 3 year career.
