Weatherspoon is a good hustle guy, despite his short stature he can get to the boards plenty.

Frankly, it's amazing we got anything for Mooch and Meech - we got incredibly lucky that Isiah Thomas was involved with a team somewhere.

God be with you Knicks fan, trust us, you'll need it.

Isiah Thomas (from the Chron): "Moochie is a player who can break the defense down," Thomas said. "He can get in the lane, like Frank (Williams), he can run an offense, shoot the long ball. He's a guy that has experience. He's played in this league for a while, he's competed at a high level, he's been very durable as a player."

Uh...is he talking about the same Moochie?

My dream lineup is Moochie, Mobley,Eddie Griffin, Nachbar and John Amaechi. Im so sad they sent my two favor players away. Im going to watch this team no more w/o Moochie and Amaechi!!!

    :D :D :D :D :D

    ;) :p

Yes, I realize that, other players would have had to be involved. I would have given you nothing more for KT, perhaps a draft pick, because KT will walk after the season anyway, so that way, you would have gotten a draft pick (and, admittedly, some bad contracts) instead of nothing.

I wouldn't be so sure about KT walking at season end.

We have to decide between McDyess and KT. If McDyess is looking for another max contract forget it, we will pay KT 6 or 7 per year instead. If McDyess asks Mid-Level or a little more, we may keep McDyess and KT will opt out.

Anyways, i have a feeling that McDyess will traded around the deadline. Teams like Memphis, Chicago and Denver will be looking for abit more cap space to offer Kobe a max contract, and avoid a sign and trade with the Lakers.

Mike Wilks is going to have a very Happy New Year

Good trade, we do need a backup PF and if weatherspoon takes up as much room under the boards as his name does on the back of the jersey its a good trade.

I wonder if Jackson will backup Steve in Moochie's place? It's not like Steve sits for very long anyway. Wilkes needs a shot though.

    i dont like the deal.

i like moochie norris in the team is he is the best backup pg we have.

And I dont like Weatherspoon and we dont need a pf, and if you want to get a pf antawn jamison or eddie najera i think they are better

Dammit why is everyone wanting all the overpaid knicks players the ones that got Scott Layden fired?

I think somebody needs to get him some footage of moochie fast. Then he'll probably change his mind.

No more Mooch. Doesn't that sound great? The backcourt gets an unheaval it really needed and we get 6 fouls from a big body. Not too bad.

Will Spoon be content to be the 3rd PF off the bench? That'll be his spot, unless JVG changes how he uses Cato. Maybe he'll use this as a way to cut Yao's minutes... using Cato more as his backup.

Any odds that our next trade is with Miami?

My God on the link to that forum. The New York fans was acting like Moochie was going to save that franchise or something. What did Layden do to that team to make the fans to say such positive things about moochie?

I find it hard to believe we could find an equally or crappier player than Weatherspoon who has less years on his contract. Unless some other move happens, this looks like a bad trade, I mean, we can't move Spoon now that he's just been traded, right? When's the last time this cat got any PT btw?

Steve Francis can't. His Assist to turnover ratio is even worse.

I like the deal. This is a great opportunity for Rox and Wilks. It's hard to suck as Moochie I believe, but even if it's true, we can use JJ as PG sometimes. As far as I know, Weatherspoon is a better rebounder than Mo Tay.
