Saw this on one of the TV's at work and shouted F*** Yes. I was sooo happy. I cant believe we traded the 2 crappiest players(Alton ford still gets a chance) on the team for Clarence. This guy as far as I remember can hit the boards pretty well. So Bu By Moochie, Martin, or whatever the hell you wanna be called, its not Rockets buisiness anymore :D

Moochie's contract was a problem and Meech was just riding the pine and I really don't think we could have gotten anything better than Spoon for them but I will miss Moochie because I think he was a nice guy who did well for us initially. The zone took him out of his game and he couldn't overcome his overdribbing problems.
I wish Moochie well in New York.

This is the best thing I have heard in a long time! Just last night I was praying that I would never see him on the court as a rocket again!!!! Good things are coming! This is not the last move the rockets will make!

Did anyone notice at the end of the ESPN article about the trade this little nugget of intrigue:

If the Knicks sign Leon Smith, and the Nets Eddie Griffin, trading for Rasheed Wallace doesn't seem like such a big deal.

You Rockets fans think you're so cool because you actually have an exciting team to watch. For us New Yorkers it was our one chance to see the Rockets play. As good as you guys have it, I bet you guys don't have a Moochie Norris Cheering section. I swear to god, we had a bunch of people yelling for moochie all night!

    i'm glad he'll feel semi-welcomed in NY

Good.. the reign of the triumvirate of dumb.. dumber.. and dmuberer is finally over. The rox will have at least 3 less TO each game.
I guess weatherspoon can be a good practice body.

    What is NY doing though?
let me count... they have eisley... ward.. williams and now moochie... or which 3 of them have rotten contracts that most people won't want.

How many backup at best mediocre pg does one team need?

I hope Rox now can make a blockbuster move that bring Wallace here. Mobley+Cato for Wallace OR Spoon + Cato for Wallace.

This at 10:12pm on tuesday was not on the rockets website, so whoever started this tread, THANKS! that's the reason i check for rockets scores and news here first, this is w/o a doubt the greatest basketball website there is, thanks whoever posted this news. i really liked moochie though, is there a possibility that nachbar can be on the trading block? i would hate that cuz mooch and nachbar are some of my favorite players.

I'm sad to see Moochie go. My dream lineup is Moochie, Francis, Mobley, Taylor, and Cato. That team would definitely make the playoffs.

The rockets are not an athletic team and the addition of Spoon does not makes us better in any phase of the game. Bringing in guys like Hawk or any number of the guys we've had,let go,or did not draft ,Sam Cassell, Robert Horry, Rashard Lewis etc., would at least give us a chance to run with some of the more athletic teams. Until Steve steps up, Cuttino is gone, and there are better signings the Rockets won't really be that competitive.
