It has just been confirmed by MSG.

I am watching Knicks and heats game, and Marv Albert just talked about it.

Don't know this move though, they want to get rid of Moochie, I understand that, but where is our backup PG?????????

    Hmmm, maybe Wilks...

Has anyone asked why the Knicks would do this? Why in the world would they want Mooch? Are they going to turn MSG into a carnival? ...

Okay, if it's true, I'll be the first to ask...

    WHHHHHYYYYY????

Are the Rockets trying to make up for the KT trade by bringing in another undersized PF but one on the downside of his career? Plus, he makes $5.5 million through 2006!! I know Moochie and Amaechi are nothing but couldn't the Roxs get a player whose contract was running out sooner?? I am excited about Wilks manning the point now.

Crap for crap. I suppose we're just condensing our two pieces into one bigger piece.

We got out from under Moochie by a year. Clarence makes the most money, but has 2 years left after this year as opposed to Moochie's 3. Amaechi has an option for next year.

But on the downside, Spoon makes nearly 6 mill next year. That puts about 14 mill between him and MoT in backup PFs.

I don't really get it, except it clears a roster slot. We still don't have a backup PG, and Spoon is an undersized 4. Perhaps JVG thinks Spoon can go back to putting up a double-double and provide some interior scoring. I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah but his turnovers were just ridiculous, hardly shot it when he was wide open cause he knew he would brick them.

Well, Weatherspoons contract is not much better, but any trade that guarentees we never have to see Mooch running the point again is AOK with me.

This just adds more to the HOUSTON KNICKS!

Can we get anymore UGLIER?! I HATE YOU JVG! I HATE YOU!

I'm not hearing any other trades to get a backup PG from my contacts. Looks like Wilks is getting more playing time!

This trade proves a couple of things:

The general consensus of the bbs seems to agree with JVG (and i guess CD to an extent). We all agreed we needed a better option at backup PG, and now we cleaned out sine space to make that happen.

    and

JVG isn't satisfied with the current makeup of the team and knows some changes need to happen. Although, if there aren't any more moves made near term... we will really have to worry.

Wow...so what this boils down to...we better pray that Wilks is better than Moochie.
Weatherspoon is insurance in case something happens unless he can rediscover some semblence of game.

got to be another move coming....and I dont mean SF and Cat.
as much as I know it pains some of you to hear it...SF, Yao and Cat will be here at the end of the year...
